Wow. I can't believe I'm as old as I am and I first heard the song a few days ago at the home of friends - two sisters were singing it and harmonizing like angels. I had to search YouTube to hear it by the artist. I think this is now one of my favorite songs. So beautiful it gives me goose bumps

"Song from Half Mountain" is always fantastic. I can't hear it enough. Never heard "What in the World" before and thought it was great. Based on the timeline, the "next album" he alludes to would have been Nether Lands. I wonder what happened. It's a shame to have kept this one a secret. I think Dan's vocals on the live version far surpass the album. This is truly an AWESOME addition to the archives. No overdubs, no cleanups; just the voice of a captured angel!

Interesting that the opening chords of the second song sound like the same ones he uses in Wysteria.

God I miss him. I still can't believe he is gone. Sometimes it seems that people with such talent will live forever. He was always on my "record player" in the 70's. He made me feel really good. His music was heartfelt, and filled with goodness. You could feel his emotion in the music.
