Am I the only one who found fighting Riku on the island in the beginning of Kingdom Hearts 1 harder than this fight?

I think the fight was supposed to be easy, to demonstrate how powerful Roxas had become. Besides, that wooden-sword Riku was one hardcore motherfucker.

@Akira8742 They're both remixes of the song "Another Side", which was used in the second teaser for Kingdom Hearts II that came with Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix. "Another Side" is the overarching theme song for Kingdom Hearts II despite not being used at full itself in the game, similar to how "Destati" is the overarching theme song for the first Kingdom Hearts game and "Fate of the Unknown" is the overarching theme song for Birth By Sleep.

I'm not going to argue about how easy this fight was, because a) It's more of an epilogue for story reasons, and b) I can always go in challenge mode, where I'm not near-invincible-Roxas, and try it for reals.

@khfan523 Yeah, I'd also say Roxas was taken by surprise. Except I think he was trying to break free from the Heartless' grip. But slashing at it's arms with whatever mobility he had left would've been a better plan if he wanted to break free, and even so, an even better plan would've been to react to the surprise by slashing and jumping back at the same time. (Now if only Roxas would've actually done one of those things...)

The only regret with this fight was that I wish it was more challenging. I mean the whole time I just combo'd him, he put up his shield, I ran around him combo'd him again, he put up his shield etc. Maybe once he would actually attack me.

I love this music, because at this point, neither Roxas nor the player even know what's right anymore. Roxas really fights with his back to a wall, and after a whole game of suffering along with him, the player wants him to win. But when they have played KH2, they know that it will be futile, and also that Roxas has to lose. Still they fight as hard as they can. That's the greatest thing about this song: Knowing full well that no side is purely good or bad.

Roxas probably would've won, after he killed Riku. In Riku's defense, he only wanted his friend back after what had happened for over a year. But all in all, it was an amazing, amazing fight. Great soundtrack too.

I was already crying from the last few cutscenes... this music made me cry more. I kept thinking about one part:

Roxas: Man, I wish we could do this forever.

Axel: Forever never lasts, especially for a bunch of Nobodies.

I still foolishly wonder if there is a faint hope for the trio. I thought everyone shared the same sky, that everyone had the same fate... it seems as though this either indicates doom or peace for everyone... I can't even remember if I'm thinking about the same series

It couldve been differant, Xion alive, Axel on the side with Roxas/Sora, Riku, and The King, Roxas and Xion in love, a happy ending. Sadly, it must end, like all, it must be cast aside and put to a later use, that will never be used. This music combines an epic battle with the sadness of a lost friend, just like the final battle.

@DarkFamfrit Actually, I think this song is exclusive to one event in the KH storyline, and it would be the fight between Roxas and Riku. The piano part from 1:06-1:17 was definitely either taken from or later used in "Graceful Assassin". Parts of "The 13th Dilemma", "

Organization XIII", and "The 13th Struggle" can be heard, too.
