I LOVED this movie when I was little, even though I was afraid of robots. lol xD This was like... My first "Edward Scissorhands"!. lol I didn't get to see "Edward Scissorhands" till I was 12. x3 But I watched this one over and over before then. CX
I remember watching this as a kid in 2000 thinking, wow, can't wait till 2005. Well fast forward 5 years, and i'm a little disappointed in humanity....
@Smileandwavelol Yes, they are The Three Laws of Robotics, conceived in 1942 by Isaac Asimov - a science fiction author, credited for having written or edited more than 500 books, one being I, Robot. The laws have since been adopted by several other authors and movie script writers.
This is a gentle story. I really liked Robin Williams here, without his usual crudeness. Good acting and an interesting story of initiation into being ahuman, a sort of bildungsroman.. Thanks for the memories!
Even though this film received mixed reviews, ive allways really enjoyed it. apart from Hook i think this is Robin's best role he ever played. a great mix of humor and emotion, Bravo.
@aBd1N flying vehicles can happen early in the 21st century somewhere it can happen in the 2030s 2040s or 2050s i love living in this century better lifes and happiness better than the 20th century like 100,848,483,343,893 times better or beyond the biggest numbers believe on it wen the 2040s come you be older so am i i be 50 years old in 2041.
As a person with Aspergers, I love this movie. I love tales of beings that were created without humanity fully intact exploring the world and integrating themselves.
Yeah, if it had not been for the middle ages and the Eastern Roman Empire had not fallen, back in the late 4 century A.D, we would already been to the moon and back and have a colony on the Moon by the year 1788 and we would be atleast about five hundreth more years advance than we are right now. But that's only really just a guess.
@superfly1820 there has been just started off small in japan the technology is cool so as the vehicles and we do have some robots that has been kicking in like in the sci fi movies but just different
@MoonGoddess1371 and yet they call it bicentennial man, when positronic sounds better and is much more relevant to the fact he was a robot who became a man, not a man who was modified to live 2 centuries.
Just watched a beautiful mind. the music to which is amazing. Love the way Horner used the music again in this. The guy has two academy awards AND wrote the music to the wrath of khan, the most under rated film score ever. Could he not have at least changed the instruments used? Anything!
Is this really the whole movie?? Oh I really hope so ... I've been through a little bit waiting for this movie to be posted. Some really dumb DUB's. ;) thank you
Thank you for having this uploaded, It is interesting at how they had such different view back in 1999 we are at least 4 possibly 5 years after this was supposed to take place.
This is still a very thought provoking movie I wish people could be more open to the posibilities of robots.
incase you don't know the movie is based on a short story written by Issac Asimov who also wrote I Robot. However I Robot is possibly the worst film adaptation of a book that i have ever seen. The story is completely different. I Robot was a collection of short stories not a film about Will Smith and a mentally unstable super computer!

A robot must not injure a human being or through inaction allow a human to come to harm is the Zeroth law, not the first
HappyApple330 7 months ago
@HappyApple330 Actually, that is the First Law. The Zeroth Law is: "A robot may not harm humanity, or, by inaction, allow humanity to come to harm."
This was introduced by Asimov in the novel Foundation and Earth.
