  • Wow so happy you posted this, this was one of my fav childhood films and I can't seem to find it on dvd.

  • sad they took this off of netflix

  • A robot must not injure a human being or through inaction allow a human to come to harm is the Zeroth law, not the first

  • @HappyApple330 Actually, that is the First Law. The Zeroth Law is: "A robot may not harm humanity, or, by inaction, allow humanity to come to harm."

This was introduced by Asimov in the novel Foundation and Earth.

  • Awesome movie!

  • wow, i still remember this movie when i was 8. its the 1st movie made me cry!!! love it.............

  • i've already watched this movie today, but i wanted to come here and post something:

This movie is awesome and i watch it everytime i see it on TV. Robin Williams was wonderful!!

  • wait, aren't those laws in the I, Robot movie?

  • @Smileandwavelol Yes, they are The Three Laws of Robotics, conceived in 1942 by Isaac Asimov - a science fiction author, credited for having written or edited more than 500 books, one being I, Robot. The laws have since been adopted by several other authors and movie script writers.

  • @ajarofdirt

    Ooooh. Interesting.

  • so... is robin williams in a suit or is he providing the voice and it's green screen technology?

    Just wondering.

    This is really cool.

  • @Smileandwavelol He's in a suit. Try googling bicentennial man suit.

  • I always LOLED at the presentation part! hahhaha

  • not to be cheeky but i have a better version on my channel! :)

  • @holz1181 you are cheeky

  • Epicly Awsome movie choked up when it ended (no spoilers for you!!!)

  • This is a gentle story. I really liked Robin Williams here, without his usual crudeness. Good acting and an interesting story of initiation into being ahuman, a sort of bildungsroman.. Thanks for the memories!

  • Is Jennifer Jason Leigh in this movie?

  • @antiquax then why she mention it, when she did 5 ?s on Craig Kilborn in 2002?

  • THANK YOU! I just finished watching A.I, and this will be an awesome way to keep the tears going. I LOVE THIS MOVIE!

  • friendjj3000 thanks so much for posting an entire vid that is incredibly meaningful

unlike other ppl that post videos that are just about teen dramas etc...

  • my favorite part is where he says that the record players a piece of shit, what part is that on?

  • it is funny how in the start of flim with robot is 2005

  • Even though this film received mixed reviews, ive allways really enjoyed it. apart from Hook i think this is Robin's best role he ever played. a great mix of humor and emotion, Bravo.

  • I have this on a video , a most excellent film

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE..!!! and i love the part when he saw his inner self..LOL he screamed..haha..tht was funny

  • you all must watch Endhiran

  • What is it with the little girl being a bitch? They should make these types of robots already

  • this movie make me cry T__T

  • i hate how there's no part 10... :'(

  • japanese people advertise even though movies???

  • Just kidding

  • @LotusDragon09

If that is not good quality you need glasses.

  • Definitely not good quality, but thanks for uploading. I was going to buy the DVD so this will do until then.

  • eemmyybbeetthh lol

  • Lolzz....

  • I grew up with this film :')

  • thank you because i have questions to answer for this for class and i am away from school while it is playing.

  • Longest opening credits eva...

  • @aBd1N flying vehicles can happen early in the 21st century somewhere it can happen in the 2030s 2040s or 2050s i love living in this century better lifes and happiness better than the 20th century like 100,848,483,343,893 times better or beyond the biggest numbers believe on it wen the 2040s come you be older so am i i be 50 years old in 2041.

  • lol 2005, progression failed with the invention of MTV and Video games.

  • @raoorz

thanks to Sarah and John Connor

  • needs robot needs a faster processor loool...i guess " i robot" was him with a faster processor :D

  • good quality my ass but i appreciate it anyway :P thanks

  • Watched this movie was I was very young. It made me realize how scary death is, for some reasons...

  • @Hootshot112 same here

  • As a person with Aspergers, I love this movie. I love tales of beings that were created without humanity fully intact exploring the world and integrating themselves.

  • @NoahLDiamond So in other words, you love when robots want and pretend to be humans. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it too, very much.

  • if you listen to the intro music, its almost exactly the same as the intro music from the movie A beautiful Mind. lol

  • HEY EVERYONE! i just wanna let you know that I'M COOL. Most of you are not, unfortunatly. Its fun being cool. lol

  • 3:45

  • whats with the japanese stuff at the top of the screen?

  • @aBd1N i didnt say flying i said futuristic. i mean like doors that open upwards instead of sideways and voice communication devices lol

  • i love how they actually thought we would have humanoid server robots and futuristic cars by 2005 :P haha

  • @superfly1820 We would have, if the world was not so fucked up with Backward Religions, Idiots and Terrorists.

  • @sesshy34 shut ur mouth retard

  • @sesshy34

Yeah, if it had not been for the middle ages and the Eastern Roman Empire had not fallen, back in the late 4 century A.D, we would already been to the moon and back and have a colony on the Moon by the year 1788 and we would be atleast about five hundreth more years advance than we are right now. But that's only really just a guess.

  • @superfly1820 there has been just started off small in japan the technology is cool so as the vehicles and we do have some robots that has been kicking in like in the sci fi movies but just different

  • thanks, a child hood favorite, thankyou for posting

  • i love this film thankyou

  • this is one of my favorites :3

  • OMG that is where they got the Enclave Storage Containers from on Fallout 3 !! lol

  • Nice... I love this movie... =) thanks for posting...

  • this is such a sad and happy movie best robin william movie ever

  • @gearsofmom The movie is based on the book " The Positronic Man" by Issac Asimov & Robert Silverberg

  • @MoonGoddess1371 and yet they call it bicentennial man, when positronic sounds better and is much more relevant to the fact he was a robot who became a man, not a man who was modified to live 2 centuries.

  • Thank you, omg i love you!!

  • I never understood this movie when i first saw it so long ago, so i thought i give it another go. It seems great so far.

  • omg why is this music sound so much like the music from beautiful mind?! literally! sounds like the same song slightly changed.

Is James Horner Recycling his work?! (used this already made composition in beautiful mind with slight changes)

  • god this brings me memories i watched this when i was 8 or 9 years now im 16 =D

this movie is part ofmy childhood

for me its the most beaultifull film ever....

i almost cryed at the end LOL

  • does it take place in our time first and then continues for 2 hundred years?

  • One if the best futuristic movies I have ever seen. So well casted and greta story line!

  • I hate this movie- it makes me cry.

    Old Yeller made me laugh

  • Is it me, or is this one of the best intro's to a movie ever? It pretty much sums up everything I love about science.

  • Just watched a beautiful mind. the music to which is amazing. Love the way Horner used the music again in this. The guy has two academy awards AND wrote the music to the wrath of khan, the most under rated film score ever. Could he not have at least changed the instruments used? Anything!

    Rant over!!!

  • @MEEHABS2125 this is older than A Beautiful Mind.

  • I watched this movie in school it was a great movie.......

  • hahaha Tudou Wang, at the top right corner.

  • Is there a reason as to why I can barely hear this copy? Ortherthan the obvious... Because, yes, all volume is at an all time high...

  • Is this really the whole movie?? Oh I really hope so ... I've been through a little bit waiting for this movie to be posted. Some really dumb DUB's. ;) thank you

  • the opening titles and soundtrack are the best parts of this movie

  • good quality are you kidding me?

  • Mork the Terminator!

  • this movie is so sad i watch it a long time ago now im watching it again. dont remember what happened

sorry if i spoil by saying this movie is sad i dont mean to

  • I remember this movie! I think it might have been my first movie... I saw it at the mall, of all places, Man I feel old!

  • My Favourite Movie, This Is The First Dvd My Dad Ever Bought For Me :) x

  • lol watch Terminator then this lol its like night and day

  • Thank you for having this uploaded, It is interesting at how they had such different view back in 1999 we are at least 4 possibly 5 years after this was supposed to take place.

This is still a very thought provoking movie I wish people could be more open to the posibilities of robots.

  • incase you don't know the movie is based on a short story written by Issac Asimov who also wrote I Robot. However I Robot is possibly the worst film adaptation of a book that i have ever seen. The story is completely different. I Robot was a collection of short stories not a film about Will Smith and a mentally unstable super computer!

  • Interesting

  • yeah, the only way to enjoy that movie is to be high or smashed.

  • ssj is a cool ass mutherfucker. i like his style.

keep up the fucken good comments dah!

  • rofl fuck yea thanks

  • T1000 is better

  • this score is EXACTLY the same as 'A Beautiful Mind'...come on James Horner, a bit more originality please!

  • its android #56258!!! its stronger than ssj4 gogeta at its fullest power!

  • What kind of an idiot leaves a comment like that?

  • i love how its the same USR as in I, Robot, i love this movie though

  • haha, never heard of this flick, nice opening! ill def. keep watching!

  • If you notice the soundtrack, it almost sounds the exact same as the soundtrack for "A Beautiful Mind" b/c James Horner made the soundtrack for both of the films. I really do love the soundtrack though... just beautiful!

  • Cool movie :-)

  • OH MY GOSH I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! I would NEVER have guessed it'd be on Youtube... Thank you SO MUCH for posting this!! :-D

  • @jenchapple89 a lot of movies are on youtube its great. people know exactly what i want some of the time

  • OK, I think the comment you made was a bit cruel. But it was really really funny.

  • Bicentennial man is possibley the best film ever made, it makes me laugh amd makes me cry i like a film that can do that!!!!

  • amen

  • i cried in my room for 2 hours!

    i love this film

  • @CHRISTINKER86 disagree with you there, Gone with the wind is, but yeah i agree this film is good also.

  • @CHRISTINKER86 this movie is based on true and possible things in the future its already happening it is like different from the movie but its cool movie too

  • @CHRISTINKER86 funny, i swear i read a comment exactly like that on another video on utube. do not rememeber where though

  • This movie makes me want to run around in the streets, giggling (whilst doing a disco dance), and giving old people fruit (mostly oranges).

I don't exactly understand those feelings....I just felt like confessing them.

Anyone else in the mood for queso?

  • I Love this Movie thanks for uploading

  • yeah well IRobot took that idea their the same 3 laws as this movie. its just IRobot is a "what-would-happen-if-robots-went-rogue" kind of movie

  • The 3 laws of robotics were not written for this film, you know. They were first written by Isaac Asimov, in his short story "Runaround" in 1942. They have been used in many, many stories and films since then.

  • whats the name of the track at 6:40?

  • Hmm can I still buy the book that the movie was based on? The books are always better than the Hollywood crap.

  • Yhere has been a gazillion movies and episodic TV shows based on Asimovs story.

Dont consider the movie I, Robot

its pathetic...and a prime example of Hollywood ruining good stories for political correctness to involve rappers and ghetto speech.

Another American industry committing suicide... for goofy reasons.

  • And where was this "rapper" in the movie...and "ghetto speech". I don't recall any of that in I Robot. I mean, criticize the movie all you want but if you're referring to Will Smith then you may want to check your sources again. Don't try to make him out to be some hood thug. He's a highly intelligent, articulate, and incredible person as well as an amazing actor. Give him some respect, even if the movie was bad...don't make him out to be like Soulja Boy or some shit..

  • Isaac Asimov invented those Three Laws of Robotics. He also, interstingly enough, invented the word "Robotics". This movie is based off his short story, "The Bicentennial Man".

  • Did he really invent the term "robotics"? how interesting, can you elaborate. His novels will become more relevant to modern society as robots and artifical intelligence become more advanced. He will heralded as a sort of visionary one day.

  • Also, perhaps I should be more clear in that Isaac Asimov's short story with this plot is "The Bicentennial Man", but he also co-wrote a novel of the same premise called "The Positronic Man".

  • Isn't this the theme from A Beautiful Mind? just like remixed?

  • yeah the composer, james horner, is notorious for recycling a lot of his scores. i swear i've heard the same song in Balto and Enemy at the Gates.

  • Love the intro scene though, it's wicked cool. Made me fall in love with science fiction when i was 7

  • thanks for the upload, i lurve this movie!

  • Muhahahahha i will destroy the world!!!!

  • hey, those arent those the same robot laws there are in I, Robot with Will Smith ? :]

  • that because i-robot and bicentennial man are from the same series and author

  • thank you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • i watch this last sunday it was great this is andrew right he turn to humanoid

  • robots will be the signal of year 3000.XD

  • only seen this once and it was years ago - thanks for the upload!!!

  • i havent seen this film in ages thank you so much for uploading it mayte

  • Disable ratings or this movie will be taken down by youtube gestapo

  • Sam Neil would have been a good bond, very similar to Brosnan...

  • What country are the subtitles from? Whatever it is it's annoying.

  • Instead of worrying about that, you should be happy that someone took the time to put this video on here.

  • based on the image in the corner... i'll be assuming something from the koreas, japan or one of the two chinas

  • It's chinese...lol this is a pointless conversation xDDDDD

  • hmm, you should be happy that this was uploaded and its japanese characters..

  • that musical theme is the same one form a beautiful mind.
