the lifters in my ef xr6 have collasped :( hopefully the ticking is gone when i get them all replaced on tuesday :D , i remember commenting a ages ago on this video about my car making noises on cold start , it all went away when i change to a thicker oil now it's back and it never goes away xD

@Mr1000hp hey mate. grab some noisy lifter oil additive from supercheap. just needs the carbon deposits cleaned out. will work a treat. and if not its only 10bucks. worked for me.

@corey7739 1350 full reco, stage 3 porting, multi angle valve seats. new oversize valves. spring shims. pressure tested etc etc wade cam regrind and shaved. hoppers express did it.. obviously worked. worth the money..its very quick for n/a 6.. its not n/a anymore

Its much much more fun to drive(and much much faster) and has alot more character then an fg xr6 so please dont come here talking about how your shit is soo good and mine is not. oh and as icing on the cake i dont believe you own/race an open wheel racecar(formula V?

@kiwiboy2013 theres no point mate i know aall of my cars would walk an fg xr6. that white car has about 60kw more than ur fg and weighs 250kg less runs 13's fg are lucky for 14's. my bf has near 450kw and runs 11's if ur in nsw then come down to WSID its great there on a wed night. Dont get me wrong i love fg's but i dont like how u assumed my white falcon was a ''shit' car. if you drove it you would fall in love haha everyone does

@kiwiboy2013 Horses for course's mate, if u dont like it then dont comment. its now my track only car. if you knew anything about cars you would know its not the newest looking car thats automatically the best. take your car to a car show and see if any of the old rides win. im not concerned about how old my white one looks, i have a new one as well. And no its a F6typhoon spec XR6turbo so no supercharger. the white car is currently having 400kw turbo race motor built for it.

@Mr1000hp run to ur local servo and grab some lifter cleaner.. dump it in about 500km bf u change oil and it will free up the sticky carbon deposits and voila u have no tick tick tick in lifters. also check ur oil lever. when oil is low the lifters seem to tick for a few seconds b4 oil pressure comes up :D

@jameslinton50 well yeah i did at first but that was because of the head porting and larger valves that went in there 2 which made the ecu go wtf? it learnt around it but i got it tuned anyway because u get way more power and especially torque. she will hand it to an xr6t. infact theres a vid here on my profile hehe if u get a cam. get a vernier cam gear for around 200bucks from jim mock motorsport or wade eetc. great thing

@jameslinton50 yeah go a j3 chip. mine was 550 for custom dyno tune at hallam performance. after that 250 per tune which is gold. vernier adjustable cam gear allows u to set where the cam makes its power. u can set it for lower power/torque with good idle or set it to high rpm power/torque sacrificing a little down low but when u get it right its sweet.

U can only hear with the windows down so the rattleing iznt too loud

if you havent already found the problem take the rocker cover off and check the plastic rail the timing chain runs along.. i have the same noise and it was because that was broken and the chain was dragging along it..

@Mr1000hp Grab a cam an valve springs for it! if u hav a manual go call wade cams about the 1521a cam. tougher idle than mine. once i tuned it the idle came good but its still lumpy.. i should post another vid of it now. has new jim mock race series extractors which gave a deeper note.. but thanks mate glas u like it

@247190 Funny you should ask. Theyre stock ford rims only ever seen one other ef falcon the same as mine. has same rims and same red stripe from factory, Theres an aftermarket copy of them but they are all 17inch mine a genuine 16

@mckenzei11 headporting ( included, pressure test, multiangle valve seats, new guides, shave, oversized valves, stage 3 "spastic" porting with wade 977b was 1350 from hoppers express melb.. include the new jmm race series headers and 2.5in exhaust. setup was about 2.5k inc j3 tune and any little things like head gasket, new head bolts etc etc thats the full motor the way it is now, but i shopped around and did all work myself, great value to see the xr6t and ss boys go wtf!! at the lights

thanks mate. yeah once the cam settled in with ecu its has gotten really quick.. my mates got a bet with onother mate who has a stock ba xr6 turbo, hes tipping ill smoke him after being in both cars.. torque is unbelievable.. chopped a modified 2000 wrx yesterday.. shoulda seen his face haha yeah good luck with yours mate.. youll be happy when its done.. im getting a j3 custom dyno tune at cve performance nxt weekend
