sik vid man! this was helpful to me when choosing the size gun i needed for blue water. i live in south florida n i have had the hardest time finding things to use to make a flasher any suggestions?
@UWWholeLife you are a genuine idiot...a lot of fish have heads to hard to spear cause it would mushroom the spear tip, so u have to shoot them in the body retard. think before u make yourself sound retarded
Awsome video and some great shots. Must be real nice to have your job!! The only thing I see bad about it is that you could never practice the whole idea of the flashers here where I live.. Theres to many Barracudas, and that will definetly attract them all at the same time. Although I don't see to many of them here in the keys, we do run into them every now and then. But I will definetly try it out, great video once again!
mate i got my entire set up with a 1.2m Cressi Mohawk (Which is another good gun)
entire setup includes my weight belt, wetsuit, snorkel, all the things for probably $1200
depending on what you want to spend on a wetsuit depends on how cold it is, the thicker, the more expensive, I often shoot spanish mackerel on the north coast of queensland australia where i have the fortune to live. being a 1.2m it also works quite well for spearing fish on the reef and in caves, I'd say buy good quality gear
can you please tell me what kind of flasher should i use for that kind of spearfishing, and where could i get them.Which one r u using in the video... thnx a lot...
i'm really interested in doing this but so paranoid about sharks. it seems like the most surefire way to get eaten by something big - or at least making them curious enough to give you a bite! :O
@eightwillwontcannot go with someone with experience... or hire a guide... you'll gain confidence when you go with someone who's done it hundreds of times
@hishamaboubakr he's shooting king macs. spanish macs dont get nearly that big...guess thats just what they call them in oz but here on the east coast of the US we have real spanish macs so we call the king mackeral that or kingfish or kings
@spearo92 these guys are actually new zealander not oz lol. But i thought spanish macs were the ones with the sorta spanish style stripes and kingfish were the ones with yellow.
nice vid man on the spanish man i am going after a 20kg one this year but thanks tor the tips and to show where to spear them but great vid got any more keen to watch
it was alrite but wat u have to try is going out on a really cold day to wear the maks are pushing togther to stay worm and then u take the shot and get to in one

If the gun is so accurate, how come you can not hit the baited in fish IN THE HEAD?
What does that say about your skill level? As a little boy, If I hit a fish anywhere but the head or spine, Spearfishing was over for the day.
