i really Really want to fly a rc plane and own 1 but im a bit afraid i will crash it and waste my money :) u got eny good advice for a beginner?

Well this is me later! First flight in this p-51 but not my first ever RC flight. If you can fly it I can!

@ascitiesburn2001 Thank you! Actually, I do know how to fly a real plane, so yea. Ya know, it's actually harder to fly R/C because of the out-of-the-cockpit orientation. As for the beast...I never knew what hit me. I felt something, but I never looked down, thought it was just grass. Then latter I saw the video and was like, "WTH is that thing", LOL!

That was great to watch. You sure look like uve got a grip on it even though its ur first flight. I just bought got my Mustang P-51 from Hobbyking and wasnt happy with the lack of power and speed, so i just ordered one of these ones now. Wondering though......did u have it at full speed or were u holding it back?

BTW, those belly landings are heaps of fun! :-)

@maccanaut THANKS! Yea, it was my VERY first plane AND hand toss. I didn't know what to expect. But as you see, it went okay :) I feel like it has plenty of speed and power for what I do. It won't go vertical like a rocket, but for a simulated WWII fighter, yea it's pretty sweet. Some guys have modded the plane to get more performance, but I wanted somewhat realistic flight, so I keep it stock. These days I run up to full power and barely toss it and she just goes!

friday ive got mine :D im gonna fly it this week when its not windy i can fly a shock flier homemade extra 300 and have alot flight sim time i hop this turns out good im only 15

I forgot to ask...Can you do loops & barrel rolls on the low rate setting?

@Trooper101st Oh yea! In fact in this video, everything is absolutely stock on lowest everything straight out of the box. I never had a plane before and there I am looping it on the first battery. Piece of cake with this plane! Rolls too. However It wont Knife Edge until you install the rudder servo. When you get one, be sure to post, I wanna see!

love that plane, you should get a couple of extra batteries though, these are cheap and the plane is lots of fun, add an rudder servo and you will love the control for sure. Nice flying !

thats hilarious!!! nobody could figure out that that was a bug that flew by the camera lense. that wasn't some critter!!! Oh man great video. most videos that say maiden flight also say "and Crash!" great video. I'm hoping to get this plane now. You are a great first time pilot.

I have flown before and have several hours on realfllight flight sim. But i'm just not sure how well I could fly this one. Is it difficult compared to say a high wing four channel?

It comes setup with very low mechanical travel rates, so I think it's a controllable if you have flown before. It's a medium fast plane with good slow speed handling. If you have never ever flown before, I would suggest any of the Hobbyzone Super Cubs before this one. if you cannot fly the Super Cub or some other trainer, this one will seem difficult.

@Trooper101st Thanks! I had everything stock since it was my first flight. All settings were low as they come out of the box. I didn't have much experience so I didn't want to risk anything..LOL! These days the mechanical rates are all on the highest.

LOL! I am not sure you could even call that running. More like wadling...

I have only had two crashed, niether caught on tape cuz I left the camera crew at home. the first was just a high-speed landing that wouldn't quit - flew right into the trees. Small hole in the wing was all.

The second crash a bug flew in my face and I lost sight during a high-speed dive. Hit top of tree and tore wing off and I couldn't get it back. Got the fuselage tho, so I bought a new wing :)

im hypnotized by the mystery critter wtf....guy commented squirrel bird or bunny but then i think when the heck has anyone ever been running in a wide open area and get hit by an animal? i say prarrie dog trying to protect its young...lol great flight im gonna try the same thing tomorrow

Great first flight 5 Stars. I have a Lancair but I have never flown it. It has landing gear and made of balsa and fiberglass. Didn't want to see it destroyed yet lol.

10 out of 10 mate ;-) that was a great maiden flight and your first real ever flight with a plank,you will get the bug big time now my friend lol and i think that bit right at the end was a low flying UFO of some sort,did you even see it or feel it at the time? because you didn't even look down lol,top fligh Ken=5*

Ya know, I felt the grass wipping my legs, but I was so into the new plane I didn't really notice anything running into me. I have no idea what that was, but when I saw the video I was amazed that even happened.
