I bought a 70 1/2 Z-28 Camaro in 1970. Chevrolet was advertising it as a 70 1/2. Mine was special ordered by someone who backed out of the deal. The dealership put a L-88 427 in it and it was a beast. Wish I still had this one.
This car is not a Z-28. A Z-28 came stock with a 12 bolt rear-end and 5 leaf-spring pack. The "Split-Bumper" was added to this car. (There are no turning lamps beside the head lamps) The "Split-Bumper" only came with the R/S option. The "ST 70" cowl tag indicates a 1970, but the seats are out of a mid 70's Camaro. It's a great HotRod though.
While I'm sure there has been plenty of changes to this car over the years, some most definately not for the better, option code on this car was 28.10 which translates to Z28 with white stripes. Thanks for the compliment it really was a fun car to drive.
Hey guy sweet ride but your Camaro is a 1970 there is no such thing as a 701/2 thats a labell that dealers and the public gave it due to it's late release in Feb 70 GM will stress they never released a 70 1/2 camaro
THAT'S A ONE OF A KIND 70 Z-28. THE ONLY ONE THAT CAME WITH A 10 BOLT NON-POSI REAREND.. IT'S WORTH A MILLION....LAUGHS!
