  • I just set my sag on my 07 CRF250r it was 20" 5/8 pretty sure. and i weigh 145 5'9". Cant wait to see she feels better :)

  • would this work on a 1996 rm80?

  • hey im 5 foot and i want to know would a have to ajust the sag and get a lighter spring for a kx125 and im about 100 pounds

  • good vid,,, you get the bike off the stand well easy does not even look heavy,,,i have dropped my drz 400 twice lol

  • hey does it rase the back of the bike cuz i want it to

  • So I have a 05 yz450f. The previous owner weighed about 250lbs. I weigh about 195-200lbs. I have adjusted my sag to about 3.5 inches. It still kinda rides like a truck though. I ride trails a lot and I would like to know where a good place to start is with my dampening and rebound is on both front and rear. Specifically is there a difference you don't want to go past, like if your damp is at 10 and rebound at 15 would that be to much of a spread? Do I want to stay within a couple of clicks?

  • looking to ask a suspension question. don't know if this is the right place to do it?

  • i did mine and the measurment on the stand was 586mm and with me on it 486mm and the static sag was 25mm

    did i do it right

    please reply

  • I think i heard a little bit a canadian. :D

  • very helpfull video guys !! nice one

  • just set the sag on my wr 250. Feels alot beter now, gonna be even beter out on the track. Cant wait to try it out

  • I need help D:

Okay, so I'm only about 5'3 and can barely touch the floor on my 1999 RM 125 with one foot. I watched your video many times and I get how to adjust it and everything, but I just can't get the top lock nut loose. It just won't move. Is there anything I can do ?

  • So where is the appropriate place to sit when you are doing the loaded measurement? Weight off your feet or some?

  • @YZach weight off your feet and in a neutral riding position with your head hovering right around the bars

  • HI I JUST BOGHT A 2006 HONDA CR85R. IM ABOUT 5''4 AND 108 POUNDS. THE BIKE IS ALL STOCK. WILL THE SAG ALREADY BE IN ITS SWEET POT OR SHOULD I TIGHTEN IT?

  • i adjusted the rear shock but it didnt get higher or lower i did the same as on the video please help

  • hey im about 5.2 and the hight of my seat is about 880mm,

everytime i seat on my bike i can hard pu my foot on the ground.

and i wanna know whats a good ridehight for me.

  • @spardax1000 Great question! Setting your sag is based on your weight not your height and is essentially adjusting your ride height of the bike with you on it, not for you to be able to touch the ground. Ricky Carmichael had this exact problem because he is shorter than most riders. Suggestion: set your sag using the steps in our video, and one option you can think about is shaving the foam in your seat. This will help with touching the ground but won't affect the suspension operation.

  • @spardax1000 You could also buy lowering links, but I would not recommend this in racing due to the decrease in suspension travel.

  • I could totally see Jesus on a dirtbike

  • What about rebound front and rear plus Hard n Soft front fork

  • Hey i have a 03 yz250r i bought the bike off a buddy who is about 6'5 and im about 5'11 is there any way to lower the bike with the suspension without buying aftermarket parts. would it be pointless to set the sag with me not being able to touch the ground.

  • @mhines83 If the bike is stock you will just need to set the sag to your weight. If he had replaced anything in the suspension with aftermarket parts, it is a good idea to evaluate that. Let me know if you have any more questions!

  • How do you know how much you have to adjust the spring to accomidate what changes you need?

  • Thanks for the question 89KxRider! The first thing that comes to mind is that you are a big guy for an 80, but....what you probably need to think about is, if you are keeping the bike, upgrading your suspension components for your size. Stiffer springs for the rear shock and the front forks, thicker fluid, and stiffer setting as well. You really need to move the locking nuts on the rear shock to the lowest point. This will stiffen it up for your size. The opposite will make it like a pogo stick.

  • hi, i have a 89 kx80... im 5'11 so its a little short... if i make the ring things the highest it will go, will it make the seat taller? or if i make them the lower, will it make it smaller??? an wat will be the affects?? thx

  • Great! Glad you liked it! More vids on their way and we have new PDF downloads on the website! Check em out!

OLLY605: If you turn the spring clockwise it will crank the spring down, or compress it, making sure the locking nuts turn as well, which makes the suspicion stiffer. The sag will be less.

  • that was helpfull

  • Great video, thanks!

Just wanted to know which way makes the shock stiffer, loosening or tightening it?

  • so if you adjust the spring and make the bike taller I guess go up with the spring that makes the spring softer? I raised my bike up today and the spring felt stiffer. Any help would be great thanks great video by the way.

  • Great Video. Exactly the info I was looking for for my YZ250F

  • cool thanks

  • Thanks.
