Petey won the fight versus McEwan past saturday. Decent victory for Petey. But Petey needs a lot to improve. He waits too much sometimes, just catching his opponent on a big power shot.
Look at those bird legs! Niggas a true middleweight for sure, back size means nothing, look at 'hitman'. Needs to get his weight into his lower half and he'll have a size advantage against most guys in the weight class.
Quillin looked good against Brinkley. I agree with 23Petrelli though he didn't do anything great. He stood pretty straight up lacking good footwork and he didn't have much head movement. He also didn't throw many combinations or even a variety of punches. It was mostly 1-2, which was fine that night. I'm not sure how that holds up against top middleweights.
Jesse should seriously consider putting his gloves away now. As much as i love his character and braveness, he´s takin to much beatings to the head, and yoou just don´t see much fire in his eyes any more
@Yalter777 Well its gonna be bute vs Johson... What do you think about this fight?? I think its going to give more experience to bute... Johson is a good and aggressive fighter!
Pete is fast and rangy. He throws some nice, crisp punches. Some have mentioned a match-up with Sergio Martinez. The new "Kid Chocolate" isn't ready for "Maravilla." He still needs some seasoning, despite what his trainer, Freddie Roach, says. But he shows promise. I'll be looking out for him....
Terrible stoppage. Brinkley is a veteran and deserved more from the referee. He was clearly still defending himself, had never hit the canvas, and they were only in the third round.
Quillin is fast powerful and patient and could be a threat at super mid if his chin is sound , but Brinkley looked physically out of shape in comparison to what I've seen him in previous fights . AND those of you who called this a bad stoppage are not watching what I witnessed . Brinkley wasn't in the fight every time Quillin opened up he looked Brinkley looked vulnerable , and what do you really think would have happened if it was allowed to go further ? Brinkley would have been hurt badly
broke JAW !!!!!!!

Quillen may be able to make alot of noise as a middleweight. I respect
that he is choosing a weight and sticking with it. would like to see him in with
Pirog, Chavez jr, Sturm etc.....don't know if he is ready for Martinez yet.

@sprouten69 Not now. And Petey is a middleweight (from his words). I wanna see Bute vs Dirrell - that will be a fight!

@sprouten69 It will be a tough fight for Bute. No easy life for him in this bout.

@sprouten69 Quillen needs a few more fights first, but the potential is CERTAINLY there.

Please...Jesse was done. Good stoppage. Why don't we just let all these guys fight until they're brain damaged. It would be great for the fans!
