History is always interesting. For example: the militias may be silly over weight burger fed grownups still playing "soldiers". But with a leader they could well become dangerous. Before you even enter the US Military, you make an OATH to the PROTECTING THE CONSTITUTION and NOT to the COMMANDER and CHIEF of the US.

He is only the CIC of the militia of the several states which are deemed by the COTUS as federal ie:national guard/reserve units. @kukri31 I don't remember seeing any really well trained militias in VA when I tried to find one. Most of us in Virginia know to stay somewhat off the radar, unlike the guys you see on these videos. People don't think that I could possibly have 6 other members in my group, and that's what I think of a militia... they should be unheard of unless confronted. You should "think" about starting one.

@kukri31 if you want to start to find others - go to facebook - or meetup sites and find locals in your area that have the same ideas
some people join gun clubs - or camping groups to meet like minded people
I do not recommend just joining a group - feel them out first
I always try and find other Christians - that way there is a better chance they are not evil!

History is always interesting. For example: the militias may be silly over weight burger fed grownups still playing "soldiers". But with a leader they could well become dangerous. Go read about the "freikorps" in Germany in the early 20s and how they morphed into the SA when Hitler came to the fore on the right and they began "enforcing" things that were in fact illegal. SO from a safe distance I can smile at them, but then I remember elderly german friends saying something similar about the 20s

@CobinRain you are right but then again anything with the right leader who knows how to motivate people into doing somethig can be dangerous. Hitler motivated an entire country. But the same can also be said about the other side of the argument with really good leadership a militia group can be extremely good and extremely helpful to the communities around them
