  • That's the most words I've ever heard come out of Patrik's mouth!

  • In gus hansens book, he tells about his tournament in aussie million, and his thought in every hand... this is far the most sick hand described in the book

  • A8 big hand ??

  • @RaiseForFun lol i know

  • @RaiseForFun A8 suited

  • ohuuuuuuu this is freaky but the ADRENALINE IS ON MAX!!!

  • PA is a good player but ive seen him make stupid plays like this before. his cr all in on turn is only going to get called by better hands. if he is up against a hand like AK AQ he still has 12 outs so he can just flat call turn. also if he is up against a set or straight he has 9 or 8 outs only with one card to come. by calling he also allows gus to continue with river bluffs

  • @ucla198 Wow looking through your post history you are one real youtube poker pro! PA is a good player, lol nice understatement. Every player makes mistakes so I don't know what you're trying to achieve by providing your hand analysis.

  • Hansen took a long time to bet the turn, they edited it here, and thats why antonious went all in he told gus later. He thought he was deciding whether to value bet a weak ace or just to bluff again at the pot....its all in his book (good book btw)

  • NICE HAND GUS! LOOOL! 0:21

  • i love gus

  • Class act Patirck - Hellmuth would have gone fetal, Matusow would still be crying.

  • "Nice hand Gus"... screw those other 2 idiots I'm too cool to shake their hands...

  • even four handed A8 suited does not qualify as a "big hand" this commentator is retarted

  • Comment removed

  • oh its a tournament, i thought this was a cash game for a moment, so its a monster pot of over $3 million tournament money

  • memorable hand with the "nice hand Patrick" at the beggining

  • Battle of the buzzcuts Lols.

  • poor pat :(

  • 1:25 and here is the flop THERE'S THE JACK-ACE-NINE-2 HEARTS!!! #LOL

  • ah.. except that me made aces up...so maybe he calls a $1m bet there or then goes all in :)

  • I don't think Patrik's all in was great, did he think he was ahead at that point and wanted Gus to call with a worse hand ? Wat hand ? I don't think so. So was it a semi bluff to get, maybe getting Gus off a draw ? Patrik was on the draws mostly there. I think he should have been all in on the flop or called the turn bet and seen if he made it on the river...which in this case he didnt and he would have a big bet to handle from Gus, A-8 would only be beating a bluff then really.

  • That flop is ridiculous. What a cooler.

  • Skaterock7734 why do you watch poker if you don't know the rules an ace would give Gus a full house

  • He said he needed a heart or a 10, he could have also won with an ace tho. right? Am i missing something or is the reporter a crackhead.

  • @skaterock7734 An ace would have given Hansen a full house JJJAA which beats AAA

  • errr, looks like you are the crackhead, sir

  • @skaterock7734 no because then hansen would have jacks full so he was dead to a heart or 10 for a flush or straight.

  • @skaterock7734 No the reporter is no the crackhead here. An Ace would make Hansen Jacks Full.

  • 2:54 activate CC

and instead of Gus Hansen it transcripts breast cancer!

    lololol

  • didn't wake up loollllllllllll

  • i dont get antonios all in - like hansen over bet so wha was he putting hansen on?

or was he thinking if he re raises and over bet , on that board, pretty much all hands have to fold (even 2 pair etc)

  • @superdave31 hansen over betted because he sees a straight or a flush draw. Antonius went all in because the last card will always favor him besides the two aces he had already on the flop. He catched the par 8 but not enough. Antonius hand is very flexible to win though.

  • @exitladder i think it was a donk all in by antonious.. also hansen raise preflop which against any other player means he could have any two cards but against antonious i am pretty sure he would not raise preflop with any normal cards like suited connectors as antonious is as agressive as hansen.. that means if he DIDNT hit his set he could easily have been up against ace king or ace queen.. yes he had the flush draw but if he misses it bye bye.. he could have flat called and saw a turn/river.

  • @mikeaprice09 how would you know how gus is playing against antonious, better then antonious

your so stupid that it amuses me xD

    you made my day

  • @mikeaprice09 lol ur dumb

  • If an ace came Gus would fill up :/

So an ace is not an out if Patrick suspects Gus has a set.

  • ouch

  • @intj123 tha's what your mom said

  • Why Gus always head zombie shakin his head XD

  • stupid move by antonious, he should have known that he has only a flush draw and that his ace is no good.

  • There playing 4 handed, it's very possible that Gus is playing a draw very aggresively. He could have the best hand and he has a 17 outs in his mind. Also on the turn Gus overbet the pot, which means he can't just call. He has 1.5mil behind him in relation to a 500k bet. If Gus bets 2-300k then he can just call, but he wanted to stop Antonius from sucking out of him so thats why he overbet, it wouldn't have mattered anyway because with the 8 he would be broke anyway.

  • the 8 on the river coulda stoppe action from gus thinking patrik made his straight

  • i guess gus took like 3 minutes or something before he made the bet on the turn if you read his book. Antonius said that when he took that long he thought gus was trying to take it away from him. So more of a "read" then a pure cards decision.

  • @mamizemoshe - It's not always down to what cards you have, these guys play at a level of situational analysis that we can barely even see let alone understand. Have you read Gus Hansen's book about this tournement? You should, it's a great read and this hand is explained in it (from Gus's point of view of course)

  • flushdraw + straight draw + already toppair

    =

    call

  • kinda tricky when you're playing against one of the world's most aggresive and sick bluffers of the world

  • @mamizemoshe dude the day i see you play like antonius is the day u get to say his move was stupid

till than practice how to spell poker

  • hey was this the year that Gus won it (and wrote the book about that win, great book btw -- so please don't read it ;) )

  • terrible commentating

  • i agree

  • if gus is gay

u r gay, homless, adopted, fat, retaded

  • Hahaahha GUS HANSEN FAN OKEY!!

  • im not his fan lol

  • gees, tell us what you really think lol!

  • No way dude hahahahahaha... its SOOOOOO funny LOL

  • this commentator is very annoying

  • queen of heart would have been sick

  • @Dyeballer610 so antonius would win with the flush???? Yeah that would be so sick....... donk

  • @Dyeballer610 would have made no difference whatsoever

  • I was thinking as far as he could reasonably assume from his point of view(especially against Gus), but yes in actuality the A's would of made the boat for Gus, You have double counted the 10 of hearts though, he has 11 out's.

  • He had 11 outs. 8 hearts (not the Q) and 3 10s (don't count another time the T of hearts)

  • The nuts would be 27 offsuit

  • He had 14 outs.

  • 9 hearts for the flush and 4 10s.

But he cannot hit the queen of hearts because it would make Gus a full house, so -1 makes 12.

Don't know where you get the 14, because the aces are not outs for Patrik, it improves Gus' hand as well (to full house) so he stays ahead even if Patrik gets trip aces.

  • Gus hansen is my favorite poker player but Antonius was unlucky in this situation. He had tons of outs on the river!

  • LOL. Unlucky he didn't suck out? He did have monster outs, but was behing the whole time. This is just a typical situation with big hands. To say Antonius was unlucky that he didn't come from behind is just funny.

  • 12 outs 25% for the river

    bad play here bye antonius

  • they probably had pieces of each others action.....

  • PA did not consider carefully what Gus may have. He could easily have AJ that should slow his play down. But he went all in on a limb.

  • wow man he had many outs ..sux for him i think ill kill myself if i lost that much money but then again these guys are pros

  • its just touny chips not money

  • I hate pushing all in with a flush draw on the turn. I mean, on the flop, i feel more optimistic about hitting the flush because of the two cards still to come, but on the turn you only have one last shot. But i agree with patrick, there is just too much money in there to fold.

  • 1:10 "didnt wake up" what tha f*ck, didnt wake up to the Aussie Millions?

  • woooow! two huge stacks tend to avoid big pots but those hands were too big, amazing. i like gus too. did gus end up winning the tournament?

  • Yeah. Gus won this tournament. This is $10500 buy-in Aussie Millions Main Event 2007. Gus played 1/3 of his hands and won this whole tournament. He mentions it on his book. He stabbed around his opponents so much during pre-flop and flop that when his opponents got pissed and shoved all-in against him for him to fold, Gus reveals the nuts, like this hand.

  • damn 3 million that shit is just fucken crazy

  • sick flop

  • Key hand - In the tournament

  • wow - what a massive river sweat :P

  • hand of death

  • hand of death?if you wanna see a hand of death search "all in first hand" ;)

  • have you seen 10 10 vs A10, think it was fahra.

  • Somebody call security. Patrik Antonius just smiled. :D

  • They both played it right ... but Gus Hansen had more luck

  • This was one of those situans where Gus could say he had trips on the flop and Patrik still would have gone allin. I do like, however, how he played it slow until the end. Very pro.

  • gus win this tourney!

    bouth players make nothing wrong

  • antonius had alot of outs

  • Gus rules at teh poker. fact.

  • Well, its called a "typo". Unlike you (clearly a snivelling and pedantic little nerd), i dont really care if i make a spelling mistake on a You Tube comment. Oh, and I had a look at your profile, whats with all the dodgy weirdo crap you have spend your time watching son...!? nailed up wrong 'un, fact

  • gus hansen is the motherfuckin man

  • very good highroll cashgame players!

  • OZZIE not ossie

  • If Antonius won this hand...he'd be the Champion of this tournament.

  • wow man, both poker beast players just played straight... classic man, classic...

  • bald's heads up

  • lol, i love how the commentator sounded like he was panicing

    "There's a jack!...Ace nine...TWO HEARTS!!"

  • Two legends in the making.

  • LMFAO

I love the "bed head" comment.

  • i think gus hansen is very good player but i think he is luckyyyyy...

  • every player has a bit of luck

  • Funny...Gus says "Nice hand Patrik." and he sees a nice hand for the SB A8s then Patrik says "Nice hand Gus." and Gus peeks at two jacks. eek

  • First moment:

    Gas: nice hand Patrick!

    Last moment:

    Antonius: nice hand Gas!

    It was great.

  • Gas?

  • Gas:

The state of matter distinguished from the solid and liquid states by relatively low density and viscosity, relatively great expansion and contraction with changes in pressure and temperature, the ability to diffuse readily, and the spontaneous tendency to become distributed uniformly throughout any container.

  • @Livenderrr

    wth?

  • Difficult to beat Gus Hansen anywhere, I dont believe in luck, but this guy surely have some! ahah

  • WOW! UNBELIEVEABLE!

Antonius had a flush draw, straight draw and a pair of aces.

But Gus won with 3 jacks! AMAZING!

And it was ALL-IN too! GREAT!

  • for anyone who was wanting to watch this on their own, you just ruined EVERYTHING!

  • i couldn't have gotten away from it

  • he could of asked for a better flop ACE ACE ACE

  • you dont get paid with that flop because you have the whole hand 90% of the time, although this time he probably would get paid cause gus had wired jacks

  • wtf??? ur talking like antonius made a mistake. reverse the cards and the same result would occur. they are both excellent players. noone in the world would give gus credit for a hand at any time. too many variations in the hands he would play with and raise with. antonius played the hand perfect and so did hansen.

  • commentator: 'one card to come. It's an 8, ANTONIUS....(wait a minute, is two pair better than trips?).... is GONE!' :D

  • A raise pre flop with 4, 5 suited is just asking for trouble

  • patrick antonious says im all in like a gangster

  • Patrick Antonious IS a gangster!

  • @tobiausneurobi all you need know is being able to read his name off the video correctely so you can spell it right yourself!

  • i like the overbet on the turn by gus

he tried to represent KQ of hearts or a similar hand i guess

    nh gus

  • he knew patrik was drawing thats why he overbet

  • hahaha i thought it ws a cash game the whole time i was freaking out lol

  • funniest comment ever :D

  • Go Denmark! XD

  • awesome vid. great players, great hands, great commentators, N1

  • lol nice hand

  • gus was the favoruite tho to win this hand

  • patrick wouldent limp in with qq or better.

  • QQ is out of the picture. You dont call a raise with A on the table if you have QQ. Pretty much the same for KK. Then there is the AA and you pretty much just assume your opponent doesnt have that hand. If you dont play trips under these circumstances you dont win any money. Pretty simple. Then you only play str and flush from flop. Its like the guy folding KK with ppl having QQ and AA and the table - stupid! Its on youtube. Maybe its a good read but you just dont fold it preflop.

  • your an idiot. if you think your opponent has aces and you have kings, and youve taken enough time to analyze him and you decide he has it, you fold. The guy with KK on that video took ages to work out what Kallakis had and he made the right decision. Your just another internet donkey who cant fold a hand

  • Tsss.. You cant analyze your way to AA. Not unless you´ve seen the guy have it 5 times on a night. And then its still mostly a guess. And for the record - the decision was still wrong with K on the table.

  • It is 'you're an idiot' not 'your an idiot' you idiot.

  • It was a quick call by gus, I mean the guy could have had pocket aces or pocket Queens, I quess he woulda re raised pre flop...

  • What is there to think about? There is almost always a hand that could be better - some hands u just dont fold.

  • Learn to count outs better. Antonius had 12 outs: 8 hearts (Queen of hearts gave Hansen a full house) and 4 10s. His ace was useless, another ace would also give Hansen a boat. Saying Gus got lucky is ridiculous. He was the favorite all along and the overwhelming favorite when Antonius put all his chips in the middle. That's what poker is about. Look at Patrik's face when he sees the jacks, he knew he made the wrong move. Hansen got his chips in good.

  • PS. If you're going to lay down a strong hand every time a better hand is possible, you might consider playing a different game like Rummy or Solitaire. I rarely get the nuts, but I still somehow manage to win a lot of showdowns with hands like trips or two pair.

  • I can lay down a strong hand... appearantly you can't...which is sweet, do you live in California? Your exactly the type of player I like.

  • I actually feel stupid for saying he had 12 outs, I counted the 10 of hearts twice. He only had 11. I had been up for about 34 hours when I wrote that.

Anyway, if I get a read that a big hand is beat, I lay it down. Are you actually saying that not laying down the best hand was a bad move? You can't be a nut player in no limit holdem and win, especially not in a heads up pot. If you can't put your chips in the middle in this situation, you're playing the wrong game.

  • Also, I love the condescending remarks from you while at the same time making statements like "he had 17 outs," and "Gus got lucky," when he was a 4 to 1 favorite. If Antonius had sucked out on the end, THAT would have been lucky. And no, I don't live in CA, but I wish I did so I could play against weak tight players who don't understand odds or know how to count outs.
