I was only 6 at the time, but was it true that some forecasts had the storm hitting New England?

I lived in Connecticut and for some reason remember there were threats of a hurricane.

@quincyq03 Yes. I was 4, going on 5. My parents split on the day that Emily was supposed to hit NE. We got the outer cirrus and rain shield on the night my mother and I moved to another apartment.
