  • And technically you'd be lying down, not standning. :P

  • ill stick with glasses or contacts

    *shivers*

    im gonna throw up

this is the like 5th video i saw related to this

  • @supermario268 You know I had lasik done a week ago and never saw a video. It all went smooth and fast and now I have 20/15. But after seeing this videos I keep thinking "I CANT BELIEVE I WENT THROUGH ALL THAT?" So in other words. I guess its bad when you see the whole picture, but when you cant see much of the ring, and cutting of the flap then its not bad at all!

  • Oh God wish me luck i'am gonna do it next week !!

  • @AyaSerry1 how was it

  • only stupid americans would do this to their eyes.

  • @NeophyteOneable your clearly an idiot because this is a proven effective treatment

  • @NeophyteOneable I'm from Denmark and I had it done! Only on one eye though because my other eye didn't need it but I was half blind on my left eye and could barely make out the first two big words on the reading chart... They didn't do it like it's shown in this video when I had it done in Århus though...

  • They give local anthsia the person is awake without any pain.

  • what an eye fuck**...

  • dumb ppl it's impossible! we dont want to be BLIND by using sharp instruments!!

  • I just got this done, and it is amazing! It takes about 2 minutes per eye (only 7 seconds of laser time) and has absolutely no pain. They freeze your eyes before hand with some painless drops. being uncomfortable for five minutes is a million times better than wearing glasses/contacts for your entire life. Your odds are about 25 times higher getting an infection wearing contacts than it is getting lasik!

  • @bellaa. U talking shit. Apparently u no loads of ppl who had it and there all fucked but u have no idea how they kept there eye open. Stop reading the bad press and talk to REAL ppl who's had it. It's surgery so there's guna b risks but it's very small.

  • disgusting it'll destroy your eye years down the road... everyone i know who did that eventually years later got fucked up vision worse than before the surgery. but i cant undertsnad how you should keep that eye open without blinknig it'll dry out

  • Do these pictures created by people who have had these surgeries look like your expectation of "20/20"?? The doctors measure a very narrow aspect of vision. Don't get this surgery!!!! go to visionsurgeryrehab . c o m /imagegallery . html

Take the spaces out of the web address to see the images. I am trying to save even one person from this nightmare!!! Notice really smart people do their research and don't get this?? Bill Gates wears glasses for crying out load.

  • i can do it by myself with a razor and a battery-powered laser

  • @albrestevez I WAS JUST ABOUT TO SAY THAT!

  • @albrestevez are you stupid they have a special matrial 2 do this not like that

  • i wonder who volunteered to try lasik out because before it was ever made...they had to of put it in practice

  • eeeew i would never get lasik

  • i would never cure my myopia. its what makes me who i am :)

  • I've got nearsightedness and like to get rid of it, but after all comments against it, I'm not sure I wanna take the risk.

    It sounds like a 50/50 shot... =O

  • go for the lasik intralase no can opener to create the flap

  • @feba95 The odds are much better than that (I would say that - I work in the industry!) but of course there is always risk with surgery. Get to a reputable clinic and get informed.

  • Just look at this video, man, im not gona do that to my eyes...

  • Lasik ruined my life. non-stop constant eye pain, can't work on a computer because the eyes are almost unbearably sore after about 30 seconds, glare that makes vision crappy during the day and all kinds of crappy night vision problems. life sucks since Dr. Keon Nia touched my eyes.

  • I have had Intralase LASIK correction 4 days ago. I can see clearly in the distance, but I am having trouble focusing on anything closer. I can see things, but a bit blurry and unfocussed. Lights are blurry all of the time. Does anyone know if this is normal and if this will settle down? Does it take you eyes considerable time to re-focus themselves or something? ( These are questions I did ask after the procedure, but didn't exactly get a clear answer )

  • man this was easy as pie. i had diareah the morning of the surgery for no reason lol.

  • You guys should read dkantis's comment. I checked them out, and it seems legit.

  • they didn't even spell the name of the laser correctly. it is excimer, not eximer.

  • Braves catcher, Brian McCann, placed on disabled list with deteriorating vision after LASIK. Pro golfer, Retief Goosen, withdraws from tournament due to vision problems after laser eye surgery. Tiger Woods' surgeon ordered to pay $850,000 for LASIK malpractice. You need to study up all you can before thinking about getting lasik. Read more at safelasikguide (.) com

  • Beginning in April of 2009, McCann was bothered by blurry vision in his left eye, due to a slight vision change following 2007 LASIK surgery.

2 years after. It's called regression and it's a well known possibility. About 5 to 10% of people getting lasik will suffer from that. If your cornea is thick enough, you can get a second intervention to fix it.

Please people, don't fall into that fear propaganda. Yes there are risks, like with any surgery and you should be informed but not terrorized!

  • stand awake ALL THE TIME??

i can barely touch my cornea, and this thing is talking about cutting it by a sharp blade.

    how do anyone stand THAT??

  • lol yeah but i dont want to wear glasses 1 time or the rest of your life with uncomfratble glasses or those contact things but yeah not me my cornea is not very sensible

  • Yeah you will be awake, but before you start the prosedure, they will put a local anesthesia (by drops, not needle) on your eye. The whole lasik procedure is just only 17 second top. But you have to know, in an eye centre that concern about patient and not about money, they will do the lasik PRE-OP and that will takes you the entire day. Lasik Pre-op is a diagnostic procedure just to make sure you are a suitable candidate for Lasik and to ensure your safety. From 10 patient who enroll for lasik,

  • I got the Lasik surgery two days ago. The only discomfort is when they put the suction ring on your eye. It's like pushing on the side of your closed eye with your finger. You will lose vision during that time too and feel a vibration. It last only seconds (about 10). Everything else is surprisingly painless. When they open the flap, your vision will blur, like a kaleidoscope. The laser is quick and painless but you will smell something like burning hair.

  • Yeah, lol scary

  • @abumuhannadh Some times u gotta do what u gotta do :)

  • @abumuhannadh it doesnt hurt.. it cuts off a film thats on your eye and put ti back.. 100% painless

  • @abumuhannadh it doesn't hurt!!! don't you know something called anesthesia?

  • @abumuhannadh i guess the blade only cuts the top layer of the eay an this is nerveless.

If you touch it you feel the pressure that is painful.

  • @abumuhannadh

I believe they use some sort of painkilling eye-drops before the procedure.

  • @abumuhannadh I've heard that they give you numbing drops from this one guy and through the hole thing he felt no pain but dryness but don't worry they give you rewatering stuff for the eye.

PS.i am not getting the surgury

  • @abumuhannadh They don't do it this way anymore or at least not in Denmark. There is no cutting with any sharp instrument involved but instead a type of suction cup is placed over the eye at the beginning of the surgery, also eliminating the need for drops to keep the eyes moistened. The laser is actually not orange, but starts out green, turns grey and then fades into a very bright white light. I had it done at a hospital that uses the newest instruments however so I avoided the "can opener".

  • @bulldoggin12 wow, that's a relief, i guess all the problems come out from cutting the eye (seen many horrible videos on that) i was looking forward to actually see it done without sharp blades involved. that's the only way i would allow it for myself. can you direct me to any video of the kind of surgery you had?

  • yea i wish i could be asleep during it too. i can barely stand to put on eyeliner. when my grandmothers eyes were getting bad her eye dr told her to take "i-caps" pretty much vitamins for ur eyes. walmart sells them for about $15 a bottle i think. read the label and see. its been awhile since ive bought mine. her eyes got better. then my dad took them for about a year and his vision is almost 20/20. my glasses arent as strong as they used to be. im still considering lasik.

  • I'd rather be sleeping during it.

  • Visit The Truth Portal

  • if i had to do this i'd wna be way drugged up specialy after watching enough real surgeries on youtube the cutting is just horrible puts me right off
