Recuerdo este concierto, lo vi en directo por la TV, aún hoy, disfruto con todas las canciones.......:)) Gran concierto y sin duda la Banda sonora de mi vida.
A friedn of my father who is a guitar player too was there watching the concert.he always talks about it! hehe it must have been amazing!i would go but i was just 5 years old and i didn't play guitar yet :P thanks for uploading this! ;)
I remember first seeing this when I was 17 or so, which was when this concert was, in 1992. I'd forgotten all about it in intervening years & only remembered about it tonight & thought I'd look it up on Youtube. And I'm glad I found it here. Brings back memories, albeit vague now. Still good seeing this after this length of time, nearly 20 years!!
just to echo previous comments ,thank you so much for this ,been lookin for this for sometime before i got my computer ,like rusrad74 i seen this many years ago , i had this on video / vhs tho would really love this on dvd ,this is music i listened to growin up ,and to this day still love ,good work roelTM123
Hey many thx for sharing this!! i havent seen this in 18 years :-) i last saw this back when i first started playing guitar and wow what an inspiration it was!!
Bring back shredding, tapping, pinch harmonics and long solos!! :-D
i really don't know how to thankyou man... i've been looking for this material everywhere, and I couldn't find it. It is awsome. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you
These were the days when Satch still just about played by the seat of his pants. Plenty of mistakes and florishes. It sounds so much more raucous and invigorating compared to todays note perfect Satriani. Imho
yeah i agree I think he was better then too, but that was a different time and a different style, he was playing harder and shredding alot more then, he plays a different style of music now as shredding like this seemed to die after the nineties or so
These songs are two of his best but the best ones are:"Home", "Always With Me, Always With You", "Love Thing", "If I Could Fly", "I believe" and "Friends", there's alot of good songs, if I wanted to write down all his best songs then I'd have to keep on forever :-P
if you want the album with satch boogie and surfing with the alien on it, go for joe satriani,s album , " surfing with the alien " theirs alot of other great songs on it as well.[ hope this helps]
jimi was in his shall i say paul mccarteny searching for his soul period between 82-89 period making boring and uninteresting music , well page did as well loved his 88 solo album but the unledded project was unleashed it was a major disappointment and major dis on JPJ
Jimi was probably busy melting someone's face off with a solo. When that happens, it's too dangerous to come within 20 feet of him due to sheer awesome. Thus, he could not come for fear of his godly powers destroying the stage. :)
hahaha...surfing with the alien is so up in speed that it´s sure than Satriani murdered the drumer ath the end of the show...it seems that drum player was tryin´to crack the Satch show...hahahah
I was going to suggest that they should have another one of these concerts, but it would just end up being exactly the same guitarists as nobody now days can come close to these guys. Still would love them to do it again though
I was afraid Surfing with the Alien was gunna get destroyed because of how fast they were going, but then (for some amazing reason) it slowed down to a perfect tempo.
I from Seville, Spain and i remember this Concert was in the Universal Exposition of Seville "EXPO'92". I was 14 years old and is the BEST Concert of Guitars of all Times.
lmao look at satrianis outfit.. i cant belive people use to wear that.. my oldest sister was a total 80s rocker... eww. lol to look at his collar on his leather jacket! not to mention his hair!!!
