What is installed between the brake booster and the intake manifold.(vacuum) Is that some kind of collector?

Muffler's too big, people don't realize how that slows down exhaust gas, which is bad.

I've heard that headers that are too big do the same thing and kill low-end torque... But I don't understand why

I can visualize why, but I can't really explain it.  I think it is because of slowing down exhaust, faster exhaust helps pull the piston back up.

The exhaust makes a small vacuum pulling the air out of the cylinders and reducing the work the engine has to do
