@Herur22 Wow! Nice surprise to see your comment, dear Janja, and paulostroff99's, under a video from Behbudov! Looks like Youtube too is a small world, isn't it? ;-)
"Che gelida manina" with a Turkish flavor, now that's an interesting discovery! His timbre reminds me of Lemeshev's, both have a certain Russian/Soviet quality to them, except his is darker.
His Italian is slightly strange, but that sustained high C is really impressive.
Gadiranar!!!!!! Sen tupoy esseksen get angir tayini tap kullukte eselen à essek uzungulg sovetin Reside ne aidiati var Residi Lenin dogmamisdir ki ay heyvan
Da, Gorurem, 20 ildir Sovet Yohdur, Azerbaijan mujennileri her yerde ohuyurlar, Povorottini otub kechibler, a yazzih, Sovet olmasaydi Azerbaijan indi afganistan ve yahud iran kimi geride galmish charshabli, saggalilalr olkesi olari,....
I used to have several cassettes of him when I was in Turkey. Lost them when I came to UK. Thanks to YouTube, I found him again. What a magnificient voice. I love his Ayriliq song.
I woke up this morning and the word La Boheme came into my head so i looked it up and found this. what is the basic story line about aside from music?? :)
It's about poor artists in Paris, man and woman fall in love and during cold winter and harsh times, jealousy strikes and they part ways. Miserable apart they eventually meet again due to her illness, but it's to late.
One might think that the movie Moulin Rouge is inspired by La Bohème
@irfanshaikh17 Wouldn't limit my praise within Azerbaijan and the Soviet Union. In my opinion, his is the best rendition of Rudolfo's aria anywhere. Besides, his smashing good looks reminds me of Gordon Macrae,
Superb! One of the great regrets of my life is that I could not see you in a concert. You were in the "Red Hell" (USSR) and we were not allowed to travel to the enslaved countries behind the iron curtain. However, You'll be in the hearts and minds of millions of Azerbaijanis in both sides of the Aras river. We'll always love you in Iran.
or... soviets made such musicians able to improve this much. out of soviets, azerbaijan would be a colonial of the usa like turkey. so i personally admire them for this great music history and basics. on the other hand we (turkey) lost our sense of music in the mean time.
My gosh...what a gem! The voice is a very old tenor beautiful voice.... I never heard of him before!! Great!! The high C too! After I searched wikipedia, he wasn't even a tenor singer! but he has the capacity for it! wow.
Rohen shad olsen, Every time I listen to you it reminds me of my childhood with my father listing to your song while driving to Port of Anzali (banader Pahlavi) in northern Iran.
Magnificent.! TY for sending and the poster as well
