You are getting the number of events confused with the number of races. Each individual race has 3 rounds so that makes 15 races. Now add the 3 relays = 18.

I'm a breaststroker myself, Phelp's form is amazing. I love how he beats the world record not just by a little bit but a full freakin two seconds! The line doesn't even reach his toes :P
