I have a mercedes 190D (of the first version) and I will do it like with every car that I have since 1950: Keep it ORIGINAL and BEAUTIFUL.

My first car is a 180d from 1958 and it is in it's original state since then. When I bought it it was worth 1000 dollars. Today it is worth 30 000. So DON'T TUNE CARS! Especially Mercs and Tatras. (I have a tatra 603 too - check it out in Youtube)

Get rid of that spoiler, if you did your homework, you would know the 190E has a very low cD to begin with as it was made aerodynamic from the get-go. It needs no tacky doo-dads like that wack looking spoiler, why not take it off, patch the holes in the trunklid and give it you your buddy that has a Honda Civic or a Kia.
