Sprint Navigation is probably the one feature that keeps me with Sprint - I use it all the time. However, I'm disappointed that you didn't leave it recording to hear it telling you that you're off-route when you pull into the parking lot. ;)
great video ..quick question how does this navi compare to a garmin/tom tom gps? and can you hook up a blue-tooth earpiece so you hear the turn by turn through your bt ear piece ? thanks in advance
Used the GPS feature on the Evo today for the first time (actually, first time using GPS, period!), and it worked like a proverbial charm. Great feature, terrific phone.
Dude, this phone is great. On a side note, the recording camera is incredible, too. I took off my earphones to make sure the GOS woman isn't talking behind me!
Okay, you EVO loads Sprint Navigation hella faster than mine does! What's up with that? Sometimes I push well over 30 seconds to get past the initial loading time. And even your directions loaded faster. Curious ....
What mount is that? I'm going to be buying an evo when it comes out and have been looking for some decent accessories to purchase with it but the overall size of the phone has deterred me from making early accessory purchases. Excellent video btw.
@LEMONedOblaat Thanks for the question! Unfortunately, I don't know what the specific model is but it's made by a company called Arkon. Check out arkon.com for more info.
Does anybody know how the speaker quality is? Is it Good like the Motorola droid, or Droid Incredible or is it low like the Nexus one? Also does it have signal related issues like the Droid Incredible?
what about listening to music while using the navigator does it work as well as on the pre or is it really bad as it is on blackberrys that when nav gives you directions music stops completly ???
@garciaop1015 Thanks for the question. Unfortunately, currently it doesn't currently support simultaneous music/navigation. With that said, I will gladly take your feedback to our team and let them know your interest! Please let me know if you have any other questions: kenjio@telenav.com. :)
@MrDance210 That Evo was a Demo unit, wasn't official yet. Sprint decided to take out the red and put silver instead. I guess because they didn't want to seem like its on verizon or looks like the incredible.
I like this, but I prefer google navigation. It's a lot smoother than sprint nav, and unlike NSXLA down there, I can understand them both lol. So having two navs are better than on definitely. Great stuff telenav.
awsome! i saw a video where the HTC incredible's screen was unresponsive while on a gps mount. Something about the grounding that made the screen unresponsive. Is it the same with the EVO? does the phone's touchscreen become unresponsive to your finger if it is on the mount. I could probably see a reason why it didnt, since the gps guide is "handsfree" but just curious. Thanks for the video, I cant wait to get mine on the 4th!
I prefer Sprint Nav over google maps because the VOICE is more understandable + it checks traffic for your automatically and can reroute - great app! thanks Telenav!
Haha, we do do.

One quick question. What happens if someone tries to call you while navigating? Does the navigation still navigates or does your call cut in?
