I did like Heroes, I'm not going to lie. But The 4400 came first, it had a more original premise, it was better written, It actually talked about real issues, had beautiful subtext, and was just over all enjoyable. There really was something special about that show. Its like they were not only able to capture lightning, but they were able to bend it to their will, and they used it constructively. It really was something special.

Amen! The 4400 was first and, in my opinion, better. It just didn't have as many big names and it was on a less popular network. Still kicked Heroes' ass. I'm SO unbelievably bummed it's over... :-(

I find it interesting that the main people involved with writing producing etc were some of the people who did later Star Trek series like DS9 and Voyager. The 4400 is actually VERY much like an extended version of a DS9 episode called Meridian - check it out =)
