@TheLolpie11 put some treats in your hand and when the pig comes to eat the treats, slowly reach over to its back and pick the pic up behind the front legs. Then when the pig is not trying to bite your hand off, put your other hand on its bottom (remember to put away the remaining treats) and hug it to your chest like a baby. Hope that helps!

I have some questions. I am a very... VERY.. hyper person. If I do get a Piggy, would it be freaked out because of me? And, If I let my Piggy sit with me, would it be scared of the music I play on my laptop? I also have one more that is a litty tricky...

My mom doesn't want me to have a rodent in the house. I have my own dog, but he doesn't like to cuddle with me, and he sheds... like alot. Do Piggys shed? And how do I get my mother to let me have a litty Piggy? Ty. ;D

@MegaBestDayEver I bathed Quinn once because I wanted to try it, but she didn't smell bad at all and didn't even need one. Guinea pigs don't always need to be bathed in there life.

As for the smell, it really depends on the environment there in, and how clean you keep the cage. But personally I don't bath my guinea pigs, and they smell fine! :)

Nice, what a very friendly guinea pig yours is. I take care of my neighbours ginger pig when they go on vacation and I put him in my conservatory. He won't have anything to do with me and I feed him fresh greens every day. He enjoys looking out of the window and watching the birds and squirrels in the garden. One time he was screaming when the squirrel and a magpie were fighting over some peanuts.

@bieberfever52199 hey, sounds like your piggy is still a little unsure of you. 17 is not very long considering your piggy had to get accustomed to a new location, new people, new routine etc. I would pick up your piggy and instead of simply holding her, wrap her in a towel or thick sheet (they feel more comfortable in smaller spaces). Don't move around much with her in your hands. Also try feeding her treats (like orange or grass) so she'll associate you holding her, with something positive :)

I think you should make a video of how to convice your parents to let you have a guinea pig if they hate rodents, and they are very tough parents... trust me my mom is tough, if you can make a video that shows my mom guinea pigs are the best pets ever, then i will thankyou sooooo soooo sooooooooooo much. Oh jeez that plastic house needs to go hon. They tend to chew and accidentally eat their surroundings. Plastic will destroy a small animal's digestive track. I suggest a wooden house its more effective in shaving down their teeth and they can digest wood. 0:26 I actually have that house and its the same purple but I use it for my ferrets.

I held him on the first day (call me a criminal; but he didn't seem to mind) and he was a little freaked out but he didn't try to run or anything. now when I hold him, like I am right now, he is so calm. try to keep her on your lap, or but her in a plastic storage box (without a lid of course!) and play with her til u can pick her up
