I can see where the Paul people were OK with the endorsement, when he says the morality issue should be a state issue, or more like a church issue (as the Christians are the ones that have the problem with it), which is what Paul has always said, but I would not say that killing them is the love that Christ talked about.

Since I don't believe that Ron Paul will ever get the nomination, even if he won all 50 primaries by a sizable majority, I hope he goes for the 3rd party option. A Ron Paul 3rd party candidacy will split the republican vote and keep Obama in. I can see where the Paul people were OK with the endorsement, when he says the morality issue should be a state issue, or more like a church issue (as the Christians are the ones that have the problem with it), which is what Paul has always said, but I would not say that killing them is the love that Christ talked about.

Since I don't believe that Ron Paul will ever get the nomination, even if he won all 50 primaries by a sizable majority, I hope he goes for the 3rd party option. A Ron Paul 3rd party candidacy will split the republican vote and keep Obama in. @tixmastr I have news for you, the constitution doesnt need to expressly state that its ok to fuck an ass or have a blow job. If you knew anything about Ron Paul, you would know that he is the one person who wants people to have the right to do ANYTHING they want to their body. BTW, the states can only have as much rights as the people give them. And if a state were to pass such ridiculous legislation, do you think people would stay there? no, the economy of the state would go way down

@tixmastr ok well to fully answer you're question prior to 2003 there were still sodomy laws in 14 states but it went to the supreme court and it was ruled that those laws were unconstitutional and those states were forced to repeal them. so you're nightmare scenario has already happened and it proves that my argument is correct. my comment wasnt supposed to be very insightful. it was supposed to simply counter your argument in plain english that any idiot (like you) could understand. happy now?

@tixmastr My comment about absurdity was not in relation to what could or couldn't be done by consenting adults in their own home, but by the example of a penalty you gave. I do not believe that any state in the US would be so draconian to introduce the death penalty for a kid found with a gram of marijuana. Sure, some states might be harder on drugs than others, but the death penalty? I don't think so.

Paul's idea of assigning state law instead of federal is so that the people can choose for themselves instead of the federal government choosing for them. Sure, there are loony people everywhere, but the idea of a democracy relies on the fact that common sense will prevail. It's not like a change of power will allow insanity, it will just allow the people to choose.

If he was, whats more important? Being able to freely say that you are gay, and as such can have the same rights as straights, racial equality, or the ability to survive as a nation??

Also, In a 2007 interview with John Stossel, Paul stated that he supported the right of gay couples to marry, so long as they didn't "impose" their relationship on anyone else.
