  • To be more correct, this is from January 17, 1993.

  • The U.S. bombed Iraq in the waning days of then-President Bush's administration. This is probably from around January 18, 1993.

  • Great Quality!

  • This would go good on KNBC, actually...

  • bob mayer is the best always has been, always will be.cool clip

  • I believe this is from January 1993

  • I have the complete news music package from WTVJ during it's tabloid days.

  • Really?! You don't think you could post samples of that somewhere, do ya? It's been years since I've heard that package!

  • Okay, guys, I think you're right. I've re-labled this as 1992 and will research further. Thanks!

  • Yeah this is definitley after Andrew. During both the Gulf War, and Hurricane Andrew, WTVJ was using "Watch Our TeamWORK" as their slogan, and the cool theme tune that went with it, which I loved. They didn't debut the above music and graphics (including the NBC-standard "4") until late in 1992 at the earliest, and this theme carried them into the channel 6 era, until 1997.

  • this is newer than 1991,, the 4 logo and music package premiered after hurricane andrew which was in august of 92, i wud think this is late 92 or early 93 but not 1991

  • The "Stay with Us" slogan was the result of WTVJ's widely viewed Andrew coverage, so this is definitely after August '92.

  • When WTVJ became temporarily Tabloid... Great clip!

  • Actually, this era was not tabloid. The open in 1992 was tabloid (the dramatic music with anchors Tom Randles and Kelly Craig)

  • Well they needed some gfx like that to beat WSVN. Heh

  • Music and GFX are just awesome. Perfect for South Florida at that time.
