  • Dear Beth,

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I am just trying to prevent similar tragedies happening in Tasmania in a pulp mill that has yet to be built in a valley that has similar fog problems to the one in Tennessee. Unfortunately the company planning the mill and the government of the state are blind to such considerations. In Australia corporate greed knows no bounds!

  • My son's father, Jerry Dodrill was burned alive when his truck caught on fire. All of the millions of dollars the the state and Bouwater paid out went to some very rich lawyers. My son received $50,000. That is the second loss the families had to go through. In my thoughts the lawyers are worse then the state of Tenessee. What was so hard in their hearts that they couldn't at least give proper help to the children.

  • Of course the paper mill would say they had nothing to do with the accident-damn assholes...

  • This is Part 3 of a 3 part documentary. The Bowater Mill is 4.8 km from Interstate 75 in a valley similar to the Tamar Valley. The proposed Tamar Pulp mill is less than 1 km from the East Tamar Highway and proposed to be much larger and emit more water vapour (and particulates) than the Bowater Mill. Nowhere in Gunns IIS is the risk of 'artificial fog' addressed. It was never considered by the RPDC, or by Sweco Pic, or by Lennons' Fast Track Approval.
