The biggest difference is the role of the Speaker. In the UK, the Speaker is an impartial presiding officer. In the US, the Speaker is like the Prime Minister in a parliamentary system, just without the executive power.

If you mean the American House of Representaives, the main difference is the head of government is normally a memeber of the Commons.
If you mean the Australian or Jamaican Houses of Representaives, they are very similar to the House of Commons in the UK.
