I both enjoyed and hated this game! I did eventually complete it, though. The key was to use the compass to make a map, which was a lot of fun to work on actually. I marked down all the object, puzzle, and bonus rooms with their time periods and maybe a special instruction here and there. Object rooms were a challenge, but you can play them over and over, and they're like old school arcade games that are kind of addictive. Play control and music are awful of course - even for nintendo.

I like the "Back to the Future" logo at the bottom of the screen, otherwise you wouldn't know what the hell you're playing.

Back To The Future III starts at 58:40. He beat Part II in just under an hour. Damn, those birds are fucking annoying!!!

I remember playing this as a kid. It took an entire three day weekend straight to beat it. Having now seeing this game in what is almost the 2015, I gotta say... MAN this game looks horrible!

You know there's something wrong with this game when you can't save, and it takes almost an hour and 15 minutes for a TAS to beat it, TWENTY times longer than it takes to beat a Link to the Past on TAS: A SNES game that can SAVE.

Yea tipical example for a game to "give them a cool films' logo then sell it." Totally ripoff BTF 3 on C64 for example, now that was made a sense, that was about athe film... but this is... :\

I tried playing this when it came out and couldn't do it. Just tried again w/ an emulator on pc and HOLY CRAP did the gameplay suck.  No rhyme or reason for anything in the game. It looks like they tried to take mario bros and donkey kong, along w/ some lame puzzles, smack em together and call it a game! WTF!?

If I had to choose between playing through 70+ mins of this torturous gameplay to see THAT ending OR shove thumbtacks in to my eyes and walk into traffic, I'd do the latter...
