Why do all the guys who drive ricers come to these videos to try and prove their 4 cylinder are awesome because they see cars like this? This car might not be a big v8 but it is so far removed from any street going compact motor that is doesn't make your vtec look any better. When your motor only has to last a 1/4 mile, you can squeeze plenty of power out of anything. v8 vs v6 or 4 cylinder is dumb. I drive a v8 grand marquis but i dont pretend like it shares anything with a funny car motor.

Not impressed! Brent Rau's engine is 4 cyl. Goes over 200mph which means for 50mph per cylinder! That means Joe Signorelli's 6cyl. car should be up around 300mph! :)

So are all the big tracks in the US, but that dont mean they dont run 1/8th mile races. And yes, I have seen cars run 220 mph in an 1/8th mile. Just look at the camera angle, he is sitting at the 1/16th mark more or less....that is not a quater mile my friend. Please see other videos of a true quarter mile so you can see how much further the track actually is.

I know engines. Guys have run faster than this on gasoline with no power adders in Pro Stock Mountain Motor. That car is little more than an underweight pro-mod powered by a tiny excuse for a racing engine.

When will people realize that unless the rules hamstring you a 2jz is a terrible engine. Its three liters. That means it will never have the breathing potential of a larger engine, and will always require more RPM and turbo boost to pass enough air and fuel to make power. Spend your time on something worthwhile, like a six or even ten liter engine.

It doesn't breathe enough. It can't breathe enough at 3 liters. Making big power with a lawnmower engine can be done but shouldn't unless the rules say you need to (which I stated before). Running a tiny engine for no reason is like trying to fight a boxing match with one hand. You CAN win if you are really good or the other guy just sucks, but nobody was making you do it and sane people are left wondering why you thought it was a good idea in the first place.
