I'd buy three of their pedals if they were $100, but i'm not buying any since their $300. These pedals sound amaaaaazing, but they need to work on some basic marketing skills
Where can I get a schematic or a picture of the guts, I'd like to compare it to my muff, this thing must be really compact. I'm surprised theres any space left after the switch, pots, jacks and a battery have gone inside it
@Tim8tei That's a tough question because they're both excellent and have "Muff" qualities. It depends on what works best for your rig. If you want versatile, the Twosome obviously but the Fire Red certainly has a unique compression and tone.
@Tim8tei The Fire Red Fuzz, even though it's crazy expensive, is easily the best Muff style fuzz I've ever used. It feels like part of your amp and it sounds amazing just about any way you use it.
This pedal does not work with overdrive, at least I don't like it with overdrive after it.
But it is the best pedal I have ever heard when you use it on a clean channel. Sounds like a tube-amp, very similar to what my orange tiny terror does cranked, but with fuzz at the top.
I'm usually quite tired of the flood of fuzz/OD/distortion pedals because so many of them sound very much alike to me, but I was impressed within the first five seconds of this review. I think I need a Fire Red Fuzz.
Sorry mate, Jimi did not have a pedal board :) SRV and David Gilmour had a LOT more effects to emulate the same sound hendrix had at certain points with just a cranked marshall and a couple of primitive pedals.
Andy keeps getting better and better as a player... Anyone else noticing that? In the beginning he was kinda, well, not "lame" but definitely seemed like a bedroom player. Now he's rocking the F out every single video!
There's just a recognizable difference in the way it distorts the sound. Fuzz is a type of distortion. Distortion is a category. Do some research on what fuzz sounds like, overdrive sounds like, and just straight up "distortion".
A fuzz is high gain transistor distortion, with lots of harmonic content and "fizz". It's less refined and very primitive, and has a far more organic texture and feel than metal type distortions. The gain is so high that every nuance of your playing is magnified a thousand times over and incorporated in the output. It is great for getting a wild, fat, out of control 1960s garage band sound.
@d00derson So true! Even in here (FIN) they cost at least €250 each. Of course they are quality pedals, but it makes me wonder how much other gear I would be able to get from other manufacturers with the same amount of money.
i have it... should have got something else :(

Blackout Effectors Musket Fuzz. Or a good ol' Big Muff.
Or this one of course, if your wallet can put up with it.

This is fat like a Big Muff, the screamer fuzz tends to sounds a little clearer and overdrive-like.

Both sound great, I assume the blackout is more versatile.

fuzz is like heavy distortion with alot of treble cut, bass boosted and fizz around the edge
