When I go to India I avoid the McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, Domino's etc. There is too much good food out there and when you buy it from a reputable restaurant (not some road side dhaba which can be great but do you want to feed your kids roadside food) you can not go wrong. Some of the best food I've ever had has come from Indian restaurants in India.

I'm a Sikh and when I go to Punjab in India, there is a Mcdonalds and they do not have cow (beef) burgers.. Most sikhs do not eat cow but some people in India do, and Hindus dont eat cows either but some still do..

Not really. Refraining from beef has become more of a cultural value than religious obligation. I've been to scores of McDs in Delhi, Bombay, NCR and many other places and never found any such thing as beef. In fact, you won't find beef in **any** restaurants or supermarkets in India!
