I am not nationalistic or proud of my blood in anyway. I am proud, however that Greeks resist their own government at all costs. It is unfortunate that nearly all Turks are unquestionably nationalistic and unwilling to question their country in any real way.
Marxism, Anarchism, Socialism... all of these philosophies are directly in oposition to nationalism and Kemalism. For a Turk to praise Attaturk and claim to be a leftist is like a Greek leftist to praise Metaxa or Papadopolous

At the same time he created a highly militaristic, racist, and fascist society. Modern Turkey is not as racist as it used to be against Greeks but is still very racist against Kurds and Armenians. I am not a member of KKE. KKE, in my opinion is not Marxist ... I have It lot of problems with KKE. At the same time members of KKE and PAME are often the most devoted socialists in their personal lives. It is a political party and currupt as political parties are. I do not acnowledge political parties as anything more than gangs with a vauge political idea.
Stalinism and Leninism are very different from Marxism. Kemalism removed the Ottoman Empire after it's death.

True, Seljuks are the real deal, Ottomans raised on their successful nationalization process. Seljuks were aware that the cultural unification is the key, since they had no true control on religion, and religions can be changed, they used a better tool, language. They actually did the same in Persia, and changed the offical language to Turkish.

The richness of their cultures has been reduced--differences that could have enriched a more ideal American nation.... Timurids were not mongol FFS. They spoke Jaghatai(Çağatay) Turkic which was intelligible to Turks of Anatolia at the time. Timur was called to Anatolia by Karamanoğlu tribe against the Ottoman tribe. Descendants of Timurids = Uzbeks not Mongols. Also Timur he himself states he is a Turk (Biz ki Türk oğlu Türküz, Türk'ün başbuğuyuz etc.)
