@1stFeeder Carl can't be played with a Xbox/PS3 controller, it's better to play him with an arcade stick (= one finger on each button). When I was still playing with a PS3 pad I had assigned D to R1 though, and I managed to do decent stuff with him
@akoraru I play Carl with an xbox controller. Lol. ITS HARD but doable. You just wont get these amazing combos. Usually I get wins cause most people arent used to fighting Carls. D':
@Onitoga yep but when i get serious i use stick hes the only character and game i use stick for.then they usually get bodied but yea if im playing xbox contoller i just mix up and do unblockable. if i dont have my stick then i just change drive button
And ugh I still can't find out how they do the j.2c allegretto into 8d so consistently... It's like they're doing the 8d before the allegretto but I don't see how that's possible. =[
I mean from the 2d combo into the double hit 8d. I was practicing in training for a while though and finally started getting it down. Basically had to make sure the height of the j.2c was slightly below the opponent in the air, then slide from 2 to 8 (21478) to buffer the allegretto, let go of D, then press C. The timing is pretty precise though, so even when I do get the 2-hit 8d, when I go for Fermata they're sometimes on the other side of nirvana.
@killatrooper 2147]D[C After the qcb you'll hit 7 and release D followed immediately by pressing C. The 7 lets you keep your allegretto buffer while still performing "8"]D[.
@mousecar23@mousecar23 I don't think I've been losing the buffer for allegretto by going to 8. I would try stopping at 7 but I use the xbox controller analog so that would be kinda difficult to do consistently unless I was staring at the remote.
What I've been doing seems to be working though, so now I just need to learn the j.2c>allecan>421d>5c. The inputs get too crazy for my poor execution to follow. D:
