I love this show. TV rarely challenges genre conventions (or conventional jokes, for that matter). Seeing something like this is strangely reassuring at a moment when so much of pop culture is nostalgic and derivative.

say it as it is, this show is just shit!! It is simply not funny and any comedy show that dares to put 'comedy' in the title needs laughs. I have watched all the episodes so far and have only raised one slight smirk to a fantasy man sketch. That is a piss-poor return for a comedy series.

This only got made because Noel Fielding's name is attached to it. If an unknown had approached channel 4 with this drivel then they would have been laughed out of the building and security called.

This show is fuckin' WEEEEEEEEEEEEIRD. Not very funny, either. It's like the sorta stuff you'd write when you were stoned off your head with your mates at 3 in the morning...the difference being Fielding thought it was worth broadcasting. THAT SAID, it is *still* better thamn 90% of current UK comedy. That Corden show, for example...makes Noel's series look like Series 2 Monty Python, FFS. (That's "very very very very good", btw)

I think if he can get a bit of a narrative going it will be a good series. That's one of the things that people loved about the Boosh, the wacky stories.

i definitely miss julian barratt and the chemistry between the two comedians. this seems to switch from character to character instead of central protagonists (like vince/howard) who you can really get to know and like. i dont feel it was the greatest laugh out loud comedy but you cant say it isnt interesting. the people that decide their minds are made up after only 5 minutes and switch off need to give it more of a chance.
