I am amazed by this video! It captures the entire essence of Elvis Presley! Not only is he at his best I think, but the sound quality is almost excellent. Both the sound equipment was the most advanced and the acoustics in the Mid-south Coliseum are amazing! This is a great video! Thanks for sharing! I would like to share also! Check out the Memphis Metropolitan Museum Blog page - Memphismetropolitanmuseum.blogspot.com

To my opinion this is one of his best songs, I really like his gospels. May be this is for all the sad people of the world: there is a way out, and he is singing about it. Mind you it is only 2 years ago that I came across the songs of EP. What strikes me most is the vibration of his voice.
Egniman, if u knew anything about music, you wouldn't even ask that question. Elvis could sing anything and do other artists songs better than they could. Larry Gatlin, an incredible singer in his own right, wrote this song and was thrilled that "the King" chose to record it, knowing he could never give it the perfect treatment only Elvis could do. If you are familiar w/vocal range, you'll surely agree that Elvis had a "center" like none before him or since. Elvis's music will live forever!
Dunno why people love Elvis so much, i mean hes a singer like many other very good high respected singers, Elvis took drugs like many singers too, but what makes him so fucking special, someone explain to me? In my eyes hes just a guy with damn high hair O.o
@egniman Must have had something to retain a massive following 33 years after his death, 5 Halls of Fame and reportedly 1billion records sold. However as I can't understand what some guys see in women they have married for life then it also applies to entertainers. For me Blue Suede Shoes from the Comeback Special 1968, Suspicious Minds 1970 TTWII , and What Now My Love from Aloha 1973 show him a class apart.
@egniman bro its a known fact that Elvis is known in countries where people hated american music but just luved Elvis..He is the micheal Jackson of that era but bigger..Only two singers ever that had no listener barriers.
May I say one thing and hope everyone gets the same messege I got from this song. This song was a prayer from ELVIS to the one and only KING OF KINGS . He knew who the King was and wasen't afraid to say so sing about him and speak his NAMR however if anyone speaks his name now you get error or try again or anything just don't speak the NAME OF JESUS Hugs Bobbie Lets see if it will post
Thank you for a wonderful share this is really his own prayer espically when he did it in the studio he really poured his heat out. He was tired. I believe he rests now in the arms of the LORD and sits at the feet of his Master. God Bless you and Thank you for giving me something to hold onto tonight. Hugs Bobbie
Thank you for posting this. In all my years of being around Elvis fans, collectors and some of his family, I have never seen this on video. The man was just flat good..Thanks again.
nick741000 are you nuts you sai Elvis was a pedo when he sung suspicious minds and he should put his brain in a microwave i think you shoul go to the Doctor
I can see more than one person sings this song while trying to get through a day at work LOL. Me too! In fact I sing most of Elvis's songs in my head to get through my crapy job. What a man. What an IMPACT he had on so many lives and future lives to come. He's definitely special to say the very least.
Fantastic version and great to see it after all these years! For those who missed it, the full concert (including songs originally not included) is available on RCA / Sony's "Follow That Dream" (FTD) collector's label. It's from Europe but you can find it on the official Elvis site.
He also sings this in 77 the band is kinda draggin but the tremble in his voice is more prominent and he sings not as well but man you ought to give it a listen its incredibley heartfelt!!!!!
Help me!!! Im wearing out my replay button!!!!! Cant get enough of Elvis!!! I love the way he really turns it on at the end, He does that in alot of his songs and i wait and chime in with him lol,,, Damn EAP LIVES!! Thanks youtube!!!
Ohhh dear Elvis, nobody can sing this more beautifully than you did!!! I love this song very much!! So touching!! It sounds like he sang about himself, I feel it from his voice. I will always love him!! Thanks for sharing this wonderful video. Betti
Woa Galo! We're on the same track. You're not only posting my favourite favourite concert, you're now posting a favourite track - with footage! I have always wondered what Elvis looked like performing Help Me - and now I know. I know this footage is not from the actual recorded Memphis '74 concert, but at least it's from the same year. If only that evil Parker had filmed shows like this .... uh. More power to you Galoport.
I love this song! Thanks Elvis....God bless you forever for your sweet inspiring voice that changed many lives....You had the voice of an angel that was exceptional!! Bless you always......
It is the same with me. I have to cry when I hear this song. :( It sounds like he sang about his life, I feel it from his voice. I will love him forever!!
Best version of my favorite. Great!!!

Philippians 1:23
For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far ° better:
24
Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.
25
And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;
26
That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.

Yes, Sir, it's written by Mr. Gatlin.
Elvis debuted it on his 1974 Live RCA LP record of his Memphis concert and featured it on and off right up to 1977. A heartfelt gem!
