Mmmmkay. There is a diff between Emo and what they are playing here which we have always called "Screamo". REAL emo hasn't been around for a while. The OG emo bands were bands like The Get Up Kids, Promise Ring, The Anniversary, Hot Rod Circuit, etc. This stuff pretending to be emo now mostly sucks balls.
Apparently people don't know the difference between Emos and Scene Kids. Emos wear darker clothes and are all (Supposedly) depressed and mostly listen bands like ETF and AFI. So I used to be a scene kid.. But I've grown up and I'm out of that trend and I still look back at this video and think this is all BULLSHIT. There is no reason to hate upon someone who dresses differently. People just need to kind of grow up and It's sad to see adults beat down on stereotypes. Adults should know better and be more mature. Scene kids are no different than a jock, prep, metal head, punk, skater, etc. and it makes me mad when people stereotype music as emo. Especially metal..

I used to be emo, but mow people call me a scene kid which I too believe I am. I don't understand why Enid hate scenes yet alone others. Mmmmkay. There is a diff between Emo and what they are playing here which we have always called "Screamo". REAL emo hasn't been around for a while. The OG emo bands were bands like The Get Up Kids, Promise Ring, The Anniversary, Hot Rod Circuit, etc. This stuff pretending to be emo now mostly sucks balls.

Apparently people don't know the difference between Emos and Scene Kids. Emos wear darker clothes and are all (Supposedly) depressed and mostly listen bands like ETF and AFI. Scene Kids are more "colorful" and more flashy and a lot less depressed and listen to bands like A Skylit Drive and Drop Dead Gorgeous along with crunkcore bands like Dot Dot Curve and brokeNCYDE. Those were all Emos, not Scene Kids.
