I am newish to carrara and Daz and everything myself, but yes you can import the poses along the time line to do animation, select your figure in instances along the tree pick the last entry before it splits into the various bones and import poses will appear int he general tab section, still trying with bvh, sofar only getting separate wireframe bone structures, just posted a video of my first attempts
@loveablemoggy I'm sorry I never responded to this. Yes, Carrara uses Poser figures just the same way DAZ Studio does. Import it and pose it.
Adding hair is easy, but styling is harder. Once you add hair, it is ready for a short animation. Making a really good animation takes more time, though. Doing what I did here is pretty easy. :-)
Well, until recently I was using an NVIDIA GeForce from 7 years ago and it worked OK most of the time. Video cards have come so far since then that I don't know how it would stack up against today's less expensive cards. I can tell you that the actual rendering has nothing to do with your video card. The card only affects the preview screen while you are setting things up.
Can I ask if it is possible to use Carrara 6 pro to do two characters wrestling? ie one character to lift up another and drop them, in other words can you physicaly join two characters so one controls the other?
I think you could parent one character to the other character's hand to have him pick up the first person. I think pretty much any 3D software should be able to do this.
The hair is not totally smooth. it is actually a long strand of connected straight lines. I could crank up the number of segments to get a smoother animation.
thats the most erotic video ive ever seen

@maximopetar Yeah, that was an early experiment. Carrara can do better than that.

@maximopetar Then do better. :P

Does Carrara keep the figures rigging. So if I imported V4, would she still be pose-able as if I was using Daz studio or Poser please?
Then I just add some hair and style it, and away I go for a short animation...?

looks awesome - of course i could never do this - but from my point of view the hair looked a little like long beads. still, looks great.

it still looks great though, so no offense to the previous comment.
