Hi doctor, can you get a vocal polyp from a trauma, like smoking from bad smoking devices or bad pot or something like that? The thing is, I am a female singer, 25 years old. Two weeks ago, I stupidly smoked several times off a crystal smoking device that seemed to be bad... I felt like chemicals or something go through my throat. Now my voice turned a bit hoarse and Ive been having neck and sore pain for 2 weeks, and my ears bother me as well. Id appreciate if you could answer me.
Dear Dr.Thomas,my problem seems to be off and on.I have had it checked and they did not see anything.Is it possible if you have polyps for it to "come and go"?If I am tired or sick I become very raspy and can't sing,which I love to do!Pleasr let me know,thank you:)
