@overtkill7 Photoshop has more than one file that will try to access the internet. You've got to block them all, or re-route the server addresses it tries to connect to to your own, local ip in the hosts file.

Ok TutorialGuyDudeMan here is the skinny. My computer blows. I play Second Life. It continues to crash on me. I've determined the problem. it is the other programs that try to access the internet. Mainly Windows update. If I block everything but Second life components from accessing the internet would it harm anything and would SL run/work better with fewer lags and crashes?

sometimes a program can have multiple exe's or a few other files of a different type that can access the internet hidden inside their install location, try finding them.
