what a screw-up/amateur this guy is. not only does he not wear the obligatory mask, but TWO minutes for ONE dermal?? having to make the hole in two times? was the jewel even screwed on at the end? didn't see but the hole... anyway, most piercers do this under a minute

@Mnemosyne9 i noticed that too. i was like "omg did he really just try to make the hole AGAIN"... terrible. and no the jewelry wasn't even on yet. I feel like if they don't know what the hell they're doing, they shouldn't offer the service and stick to other piercings

wow, this makes me want to go back to my piercer and ask him why the F he used needles on me, when I got mine done it hurt like crap! the first time when he poked in then the first pocket, then the second pocket and then the first leg of the jewelry then the second leg of the jewelry (5 pinching moments!) and I bled a lot too! the worst part is he used forceps to hold my skin and now I have a small dent (im hoping it'll dissipate as it was only done a month ago) do research and use punchers!

@bradycentralbball08 it doesnt hurt at all ... im 13 and i had mine done bout 4 months ago , its really easy to clean and i love it .. i hope you get it done x :)

@Mnemosyne9 Chill out it's just a peircing .. love the fact that people are goig crazy over this peircing at my age but what about kids my age who have there ears , nose tongue or belly done ? @RisingAngelxox ears has been accepted for ages, all the rest you name is also against piercing code that young. everybody does whatever he or she wants, from a certain age on. dont feel attacked, i attack the piercer who did it, who broke the rules/code, a piercer should abide by them once their course started. period.

as for you and your fellow youngsters should just have the patience, i know it's hard, especially at your age, but that's the world for ya. peace

Microdermals are NOT permanent! They can be removed (popped out) by your piercer, it's just that YOU can't take them out like you could a regular piercing because the average person wouldn't have the training for it or the tools to do it! A professional will have to do it for you. It shouldn't hurt much more than when you got it done. I am a professional licensed piercer so this is how I know this. It's just a popular misconception that they're permanent or they need to be surgically removed.

Microdermals ARE NOT PIERCINGS!!! There is no PIERCING INVOLVED! Piercing is when a needle goes all the way through something. A dermal is done with a scapel punch. They punch a HOLE and pop the lil anchor in there and your facial tissues bond to the backing of it. WHich is usually either a circle or a rectangle shaped piece. o_0 I get irritated by people who call it a piercing.

@dancersing03 Basically they are little plates placed under the skin with hole in them and then the skin underneath the surface grows through the holes. They have to be sergically removed x

i just got mines done 2 days ago and honestly.. it didnt even hurt it was just alot of pressure... and i got other piercings and tattoos buh this piercing didnt hurt... just hate the fat i got a black eye now lol

To everyone who's asking if piercings hurt: IT'S A FUCKING NEEDLE GOING THROUGH A PART OF YOUR BODY, DUMBASS. OF COURSE IT HURTS. If your piercing has any idea of what they're doing then it's a split second of pain and then it's gone. Dermal punches are a little worse imo, but they're not that bad. It's over very quickly.

Wrong. I have 11 piercings, the pain depends on the tolerance of the person, so it doesn't always hurt. My lips for examply, it stung, but it didn't hurt.

No one should be afraid of the possible pain, learn your tolerance first.

They put an anchor under neath the skin, and you can screw a ball or whatever onto the anchor because part of the anchor pokes out of your skin.

i recently had a micro done & my 'artist' said to give it a good 2 weeks to heal, cleanse with a sea salt wash...mine has healed nicely, it DID hurt, but i love it...keep in mind no matter where you place it, you're gonna have to be extremely careful not to agitate it!
