This was a revealing documentary. The film version of the book did a great job of taking much of the information and transitioning it to a movie. This was one of those that makes you rethink a lot of elements in our daily lives. Programming the Nation? takes a different angle in the documentary field. Looking into the doctoring of media, manipulating images and the pull subliminal messaging has on the unconscious mind, bitly .com/oQ0ZVk.
I think this movie will be good. I read the book (not superfreakonomics yet though) and it was pretty awesome. Some of it is kinda suspect, but very interesting regardless. I love the sumo and the cheating bits. The NY crime sure gave a different explanation to that of the Tipping Point (by Malcolm Gladwell).
I agree the trailer only makes sense if you have read the book. Therefore, on behalf of the audience who has not read the book, this trailer should have better suggested the film's content. For those of you who do not know about the movie; it is based on a book with the same title. I suggest reading the synopsis of it on the Barnes and Noble website. The book is good and makes some interesting points.
Watch a Pre-January 8th copy of Inception. Listen closely when the actors say imagine, reality, and safe, or point pistols. You'll hear the words, Loughner, offin' her, part of the word Giffords, and much more. Some even say they hear, do it.
The book was interesting but not that "smart" as this film makes it look it is. Real estate agents are conniving.... what a shocking news! not. I hope this isn't the "smartest" book that the audience ever reads. Anyway, are people so lazy to pick up a book nowadays? Why make a film adaptation?
so whats this movie about? just hidden everything? thats pretty general and stupid. government officials dissclose unclassified documents every day and people wanna watch these tards?
who are these people? fuck em. check out tripple W dot spp.gov if you live in canada, USA, or mexico, thats a secret you need to be apart of to prevent a complete loss of sovereignty.
i found it interesting what they said about 'could students increase their test scores simply by giving them a financial incentive' it really depends, some kids will just do well no matter what but for the other ones definitely YES. is this a good thing, no, because kid's might always rely on a financial incentive to do something and when there is none they will have a 'fuck this' attitude and generally not do anything unless there is money being gained by them.
@Kurokiii They gave teachers a bonus to the one that had the higher test scores. So the teachers cheated and changed the answers on the test to get the bonus. It was in the book and happened in California and Chicago during the 90s.
@smashtasm6IsBack yeah maybe but at least they get paid for doing stuff like this which is what they love not to mention very difficult, unlike you who probably has a damn desk job and gave up their dream as a kid. So don't bash the movie if you don't have anything better. P.S why did you need to swear totally unnecessary

I hate movies like this because they dilute the truth.
