@RandomTask3000 I had some puppets when I was young. I studied acting but never could project my voice from the stage. I got voice credit though for doing multiple characters at the same time with different voices and accents. (I was once told by a voiceover coach who happened to hear me that I would be a fool not to pursue a career in voice work, but I am a fool.) My wife and I played with some Folkmanis puppets in a bookstore the other day. Fun! We're silly like that. Best way to be!
@Keeper1st I'm conflicted because I've really started to love the little bits of voice acting I get to do here and there, but I've spent almost my entire life training as a musician.
I love folkmanis puppets! They are charming. Silliness seems to be lost on folks these days, which is a real shame. Sometimes I spend time thinking of ways to be sillier!
@RandomTask3000 People are too obsessed with image I guess. Ever since I went up on stage at a ragtime festival and, for a full theatre audience, sang the Red Rose Rag as Elmer Fudd ("Wing your Wosie wound that Wed Wose Wag!"), any notion of presenting a serious image has gone out the window.
I think it's really great that they had Freakazoid get his powers and his insanity from spending too much time on the internet. This was the mid-90's, they had NO IDEA what would come.
@skeletonmeister Well, the internet was full of almost as much craziness back then too. It was just in text rather than pictures and video. Heck, even the '80s... But now I'm dating myself. I shouldn't do that; I'm married!
This is perfect. I stayed up all night doing logic problems the other night and then I had to wake my sister up for school and then we watched freakazoid until the bus came so... you didn't know it but this is topical.
XD

How fun! I've gotta show this to Paul; he's been doing puppetry himself these days...

@Keeper1st Well I would surely appreciate it! I can never turn down the opportunity to have a world class voice actor see one of my videos.
Puppetry is wonderful if you love working with your voice, but can't draw and don't enjoy stage acting.

@skeletonmeister LOL yeah, an in a wave of freak accuracy, he spent almost all of his time making pop-culture references.

Oh, Duncan is so charming! What a voice! Also I adore that show. And nice work, Jean-Pierre! And here I thought the French were useless!

@ExidoSutrin Thank you so much! Duncan was a bit scare to share the singing with the world. But now we're glad he did.
