  • I'm an ex mormon! I got kicked out after being begged in! /: hmm..well neway, still a Christian!

  • I've read the Book of Mormon and studied Mormon doctrine and according to the Bible I should not place my faith in a different gospel then the one preached in the Word of God...Gal 1:6-8. Muslims, JW, and LDS claim that God has sent a new message and that their way is exclusive, and if you pray about it then God will show their way is true. But Jesus showed us and the early church how to know truth by searching the Word of God. Jesus never taught to pray after a subjective feeling for truth....

  • Read "Jesus The Christ" and the "The Great Apostasy" by Talmage. I think you would very much enjoy them.

  • @davidwjkirkpat The Bible says in Col 1:16-17 that Jesus created all things in heaven and earth all that is visible and invisible. He did not progress He has always been God. Isa 44:24 says the Lord alone created the heavens and the earth by Himself! Jesus is not equal with man, a brother to satan or a being with a beginning. He is the Mighty God, and the Everlasting Father as prophecied (Isa 9:6). Jesus forgave sins and was God manifest in the flesh 1tim3:16 before and without exaltation.

  • @ssuperbill2 You are absolutely right. :) I very much admire your scripture knowledge. There is no need to get upset over scripture references because we all interpret them differently. As long as we study with the Spirit, teach with the Holy Spirit and do it with our hearts softened, then we'll be more able to relate to one another... :) There are far more great and wonderful things that we have in common with each other that should bring so much joy... do you not agree? :)

  • @davidwjkirkpat I am not upset...I just realize that the jesus and spirit you claim to have is a picture perfect definition of Gal 1:6-8. LDS preaches a jesus that is not seen through a different interpretation of the Bible but in stark contradiction of who jesus is in the Bible. That same spirit you claim is of God also told Joseph Smith to take wives secretly hide them from his wife Emma and even to marry married women committing adultery with them.

  • @ssuperbill2 :) I'm sorry Bill. But those facts are very incorrect; and are falsities. Here is my challenge to you, and it is up to you and your agency if you want to take the leap. Read the Book of Mormon and truly ask Heavenly Father if the Book is true. I pray that you do. And always remember that the scriptures are not perfect... man is not perfect... but the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is. Christ's Church has been restored. LDS.org

  • @davidwjkirkpat Here is my challenge to you...Show me the error I've made. Joseph Smith had 11 wives that he claimed God told him to take as his own wives even though they were already wives of other men in his church. Polygamy aside that is Adultery committed in the name of the lds god. Joseph Smith hid many of his wives from Emma thats a fact! and as I've already pointed out the Bible says Jesus is the creator of all things in heaven and earth.

  • @davidwjkirkpat Also remember that the Lord Jesus quoted from the same book of Isaiah that says the Lord alone is God and there is no other, none before Him, none after Him, He will not share His glory with another, and He Himself knows of no other God. Mormons who claim God had a father god or council of gods before him and lds will be gods too, this is in major conflict. i know you wish it was corrupted but its the same book that Jesus quoted from, verified by Dead Sea Scrolls

  • I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and it has changed my entire life. I am so joyful for this and I am so grateful for all those who have been such a great example for me and taught me what I know. My advice to all of you who have left... please don't give up. Search diligently for the truth, keep praying and don't let people or events rattle your faith. We all have our different challenges and its up to our own adversity to overcome them...together.

  • What is it with the music choice?

  • My life did not improve until AFTER I found for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is truly Christ's Church - the members are not perfect (including myself). I know that Heavenly Father kept me alive until I had the opportunity to find His Son's Church. It's a sad thing when a member gets offended by a mistake that someone else makes and can't forgive them and then allows satan to guide them down the wrong path. A Good thing - I know individuals that have come back :)

  • @kevinkiffe

"a sad thing when a member gets offended by a mistake that someone else makes and can't forgive them and then allows satan to guide them down the wrong path"

Yup, this is how apostasy was explained away when I was in the church too. But I grew up; I found out extremely few people who leave the church do so because of hurt feelings. If you think about it, there are way too many people leaving the church for hurt feelings to be the top reason. Mormons aren't that mean!

  • @iqlusionblogspot I know that's not the only reason someone leaves the church. I had a friend that never had his own testimony (for whatever reason). He introduced me to the church. I know that Joseph Smith Jr is a true prophet of God and because of that my belief in Christ (before I heard of The Church) as my savior was solidified. I think some people leave because they feel overwhelmed. Hope you're well but you would be much better off spending time and energy helping people in other ways.

  • @kevinkiffe According to the LDS the best energy would be spent in baptizing dead people to save them even though it was not their conscious decision in life or perhaps contrary to their will for you to do so....but as long as you make the decision for them, then God will forgive them and let them in heaven....right?

  • @ssuperbill2

I believe people will be able to accept or not accept the ordinances performed here on earth in the life after this. Those who did not accept here and those who were not able to be taught the scriptures will have another opportunity. I also have a testimony that in the life after this. It's all about family and making it together in the end. I also have a testimony that after this estate, we will have a lot of missionary work to do for those who don't accept the gospel here :)

  • @davidwjkirkpat muslims have a different testimony and both of them contradict the Bible....Did Jesus follow His testimony or feelings or did He teach from scripture as the final and authoritative source? Can you show me in scripture where it says there is a 2nd chance after death? Seems to contradict most of scripture including Hebrews 9:27 Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment

  • @ssuperbill2 Hi Superbill2, those are very good questions. I enjoy thinking about Christ's development from his birth though his boyhood and throughout his adult life. Like us all, as spirit children of our Heavenly Father, the veil of forgetfulness (from our first estate before coming here) He had also received over His mind. (See next post)

  • @ssuperbill2 He grew and progressed like we desire to do and his advancement was not from gracelessness, but from grace, not from evil to good, but from favor with Heavenly Father to great favor. Remember this is my opinions and testimony. I do not have a perfect knowledge of all things, but this is my hope, in such things which I believe to be true. Now with all of this, our spirit Brother, Lord and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, taught from everything (to answer your first question) -->

  • @ssuperbill2 He taught from occupations, professions, manners of the scribes, attributes and lives of the poor, customs of the rich, flowers in the field, ... you get the point :) ...all contributing to the wisdom in which he grew throughout the recurrence of the seasons and the moods of the weather. Examples per request (a few) would be... 1) Matt 13:55, 56 / Mark 6:3 / Luke 4:44 / Matt 12:46,47 Gal 1:19 / Matt 12:11 / John 18:5 / See Joseph of Arimathea (Mark 15:43). -->

  • @ssuperbill2 ). I can agree with your statement... when you noticed that there is contradiction, but that is okay because all of our interpretations can be similar or different. That is one of the challenges of scriptures through the eyes of two men... to not look for differences, but similarities, because if this can happen, only good can come out of the conversation..or bonding. :) --->

  • @ssuperbill2 :) My interpretations of all scriptures of the King James bible are drawn from modern scriptures (notably the Book of Mormon) and what it teaches us about the meaning of the king James bible; so ambiguous that other Christians and religions disagree on its meaning (if that makes sense to you). And your last statement, I do not disagree with, ... -->

  • @ssuperbill2 I know that from the earliest beginnings, God established the family and made it eternal and this can be achieved by our worthiness to enter the Temple and be sealed. Just like Adam and Eve were sealed for all eternity. Like it was written in scriptures."And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven" Matt 16:19

  • @davidwjkirkpat The context of Matt 16 is the gates of Hell and spiritual warfare of demons. In Matt 22:30 Jesus flat out answers the question which wife will I be married to in heaven if I had more then one through death, divorce.....He says “At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven” There is no marriage!!! because there is no need for a companion as Adam needed Gen 2:18 or for procreation since there is no death.

  • @ssuperbill2 I enjoyed having this conversation. I hope some of my insights helped... There is so much more I would love to write but I have to leave this post to work. Please keep asking questions because they are very good!! If we desire to know and be taught by the truth (through the Spirit) we will receive our desires in life after this... :)

  • It has been discovered that the Latin based name Jesus Christ was given to him some 40 to 70 years AFTER the crucifixion. How and why would he tell Joseph Smith to name the church after this name?? Smith didn't know this information would be uncovered in our day. All religions are a lie. The TRUTH shall set you free. There's no god, heaven, hell, demons, devil or angels. Why does god insist on faith (assumption) when he says "to know the only true and living god" ???

  • @xprezitgmail

    Love your comment--thanks!

  • Keep speculating with no concrete facts on these numbers. I left these Protestant Churches for one reason...THEY ARE NO TRUTH. They are caught tangled in the web of Catholicisms. No matter how hard these Protestant Churches try to distance themselves from Catholicisms, they are still rooted & linked back to their "mother Church. And as for the LDS Church, it is the fulfillment of the Holy Bible prophecy (DAN.2:44-45)KJV. Go figure!

  • I left in 84. It's made all the difference ever since. The book is out of print I think, but author Latayne Scott included me in her "Ex-Mormons: Why We Left." I haven't changed that much since the printing of my story. I think people like to get worked up over nothing- If I could do it over I probably wouldn't have gone to the trouble of having my name taken off church records/membership. If you don't believe in it- why bother.

  • @mollymu1 whoever marked this as spam must be quite biased and ignorant

  • @ldsrunner4 Which comment was it . I think they must go through and mark spam on anything they don't like . I feel sorry for them and wish they could come back into the Gospel which they know is true but some poor decision has may them believe they can't come back .

Did you hear the gasp when the Prophet President Monson announced the 2nd Temple in Provo , man it felt so good to belong to the true Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints & then when he mentioned Paris another gasp PURE JOY!

  • @mollymu1 I understand haha I'm truly overjoyed to be a member in these days and to be able to base my life on a solid foundation. Life is good, thats why we need to share it with everyone!! :)

  • So what do you get when you leave the church? A 10% raise, an extra day off, and an easy route into heaven. Wow, I didn't realize that Christ suffered so much for us to let us do whatever we want and still be saved as long as we profess his name and believe in Him.

  • @allmetal71 Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ John 3:18,36 Romans 11:6 Ephesians 2:8-10. etc. Jesus Christ was the one & only God, in human flesh John 1:1-3,14 Isaiah 43:10,11. God is not a man Numbers 23:19 He is a Spirit John 4:24. God does not know of any God besides Himself Isaiah 44:6-8, 24. On page 41 of the Pearl of Great Price Joseph Smith claimed the egyptian godeses Isis & Maat figures 2 & 4 were men. Look up these godeses in any encyclopedia, egyptian book, internet etc.

  • Good luck. No son más una amenaza para lucifer.

  • Thanks for this video. After being hand fed the mormon religion for 18 years. I got kicked out of my house for smoking at age 18. I was well able to do so. I could buy them legally. My mother who is a steadfast mormon, decided I was no longer welcome in her home. Mind you, I was STILL in high school. I moved out and graduated 2 months into the school year, and then, I moved to Salt Lake City and made my own life. I have a full time job, going to school. You don't have to mormon to be happy.

  • OOH my sister,Sorry for getting kicked out of your parents house at a young age.SMOKING is good for you and i am sure you are happy because you smoke.Stay a way from them stupid MORMONS who teaches you not to smoke.SMOKE more and be HAPPY.Congrats for the good progress since.Mormons assisted me quit smoking and drinking, hence my health and relationships improved so much,i feel fresher, responsible and HAPPY and i am sure you are happier than me since you are free to smoke and drink.God bless you.

  • @nyandesh

What are you really trying to say to 101Juniper?

  • I don't think that many members understand that you can be a great person and still leave the church. I'm an active member but I've known many great people who are not active or who have left. But, my goal is to become a Christ-like person and I need the sacrament for that to happen. Maybe these people have found another way.

  • @WillLawFirm Be not deceived by the actions of others... What they are missing is the knowledge of God. In Prov2 you read that knowledge needs to be sought after as hidden treasure... Seek not the vain things of this world. I know that through our Saviors atonement we can be perfected and our knowledge will grow and our choices will be easier to make... I am a new convert and i will never walk away from my Savior and his church... Eph5:23

  • @WillLawFirm mormons need the sacrament to become christ-like?¿ i thought we needed his spirit in growing out of the flesh and into fellowship and understanding of himself and so on and so on, sacraments are given 2much emphasis when it is just an act and not a renewing of ones mind and hearts. The growing or christ-like is spiritual is got 2b done by the spirit not by our works or fulfillment of an act of rememberance.

  • @7wiiskate Yes, you need the sacrament to become Christ-like. You are correct that we grow through the assistance of the Spirit. However, you under emphasis the importance of the sacrament. You must understand that you can't save yourself. It is through the atonement of Jesus Christ that we are saved. The act of renewing your mind and heart is pointless without the atonement. Through the sacrament, we can experience the full effects of the atonement and love of God which leads us back to him.

  • @WillLawFirm i still dont get it thou, Jesus saves thru faith atoning once dying once resurrected once and lives back in heaven 4 eternity as always, we should remember his great work 4our salvation but now our growth & christ-like living is made only possible thru the Holy Spirit dwelling inside us guiding us into all justice & good works that come hand in hand and all that good stuff. I certainly dont think of his atonement once a week and then rush into christ-like living all over again. :)

  • @7wiiskate partaking of the sacrament IS simply through the spirit. It is an act of remembrance of what Christ did for us and it helps us to keep that in our hearts and always have his spirit with us. I'm a little unsure of the point you are trying to make?

  • @ldsrunner4 please ponder my last comment very carefully to fully undrstand it. I mean not to take away the sacraments value but instead show u that the living in the spirit has nothing to do with a weekly remembrance of what jJesus did for us all, you i & the rest of ppl receive the spirit of God when we accept Jesus sacrifice on the cross and take on his identity and guide and strength to grow spiritualy and die also to the flesh and its wants.

  • @7wiiskate yup I agree with that :)

  • @7wiiskate however i personally greatly rely on the sacrament as a way to renew the covenants I have made with Him on a weekly basis, and in doing so, once again recommitting to take upon myself his name, and show that I do always remember Him :)

  • @ldsrunner4 i would like 2give u an advice, we all have things that work for us, but never forget its all the spirits work Jesus said it himself, he would send the comforter the spirit He will guide u into all righteousness and justice and xplain and teach u personally 4 He now dwells in you so we are confident to read Gods word and understand it by way of guidance of his spirit. Even tho i dont agree with ur leaders doctrines i am sure there are mormons who love and want to serve Christ. :)

  • @7wiiskate you're certainly right wiiskate.. :) and yes, i'd like to say that all mormons truly love and want to serve christ, however there are, as there are in all religions, those who don't substantially practice what they preach. But the overlying doctrine of our church IS to love and serve others thus serving christ himself, and though we may not agree on all levels, i hope that we will both to the best of our efforts accomplish this. Stay true to the faith bro :)

  • Hello, have been busy getting my inorganic chemistry degree, masters, so haven't been dealing w/ anti's lately. OK, I realize not every single active LDS person is super duper happy, but the majority, including myself and my husband, an ObGyn are happy! I believe, as a scientist in negative and positive energies in our Universe. I feel focusing on why you left the Church, how much you hate it, etc, just brings you misery. Just move and and be happy. I mean that sincerely.

  • @kittywaymo

Your message betrays you and undermines your credibility. And your religion specifically condemns bearing false witness.

  • well somebody is going to hell, and its not gonna be ME!!!!

  • Thats the joy of decision making & the LDS.Church will never be a majority 'cause the Bible makes it crystal clear...many will fall from the Truth before the Second coming & even before the Lord's Judgment Day. Your salvation outcome will base on your decisions made today...so go ahead & take the wide easy traveled path which leads you know where

  • everyone should read "Leaving the Saints: How I Lost the Mormons and Found My Faith" by Martha Beck.

Get out while you still have a life!!!

  • @EastofForever Even our Savior was rejected... As he hung on the cross he offered a prayer... forgive them father for they know not what they do... We can be slaves to our own ignorance... We can stand in front of a temple of God and not know what we are looking at... If i held an apple behind my back would your unbelief change anything? It would not ... nothing will change the truth. It is the knowledge of the truth that will set the world free... Eph5:23 Prov2,3

  • @carlasue88 thats how i was viewed when i left mormonism. and was rejected by my family friends, job...basically all of utah valley. i had to leave utah to get away from the stigma

  • @carlasue88 Yes, The " anti" & "hater" labelling is a defence of an irrational illogical nature. Akin to testimony bearing which is based on nothing more than "fuzzy good feelings"

Testiphony statements = defeat and self proclamation of personal psychosis.

  • @carlasue88

Ah yes, the strategy of dehumanizing the enemy. Thanks for your posts.

  • Will someone please clarify for me what Mormons mean when they call you a "hater"?

  • @iqlusionblogspot hater is a slang word used by pretty much everyone. and inactive members are still in church records. and excommunicated members have been excommunicated because they have commited a great sin such as adultary, murder and denying the holy ghost.

  • @iqlusionblogspot , must mean you are speaking truth!

  • duh.. if you want to see REAL anti mormons take a look at some of them on youtube.. i don't want to name names.. Using fake pics with happy smiling people and calling them anti's is simply FRAUD.. the Church is the REALDEAL and doesn't have to manufacture happy people, we are naturally happy and peaceful. It is truly pathetic to see this video of your fake stats and pics...

  • @kittywaymo

World take note: This is how kittywaymo defends the LDS Church.

  • @kittywaymo Happy is not subject here . duh. LDS label all and anyone that does not have a sympathy for mormon's pathetic make believe fairy tale host of heavenly visitors that Smith claims to have seen and been in discussion with. ie: John the baptist came down and baptised him. Jesus, God the father and angels. : )

the only magic that Smith witnessed was the magic mushrooms of the nearby grove of trees.

  • @kramd1 That...is awesome. hahahahaha

  • @kittywaymo back in 07 just before I left I realized something about the relief society of my ward. every women in there was on anti anxiety, anti depressants, and other mind altering medicines. they even had a releif society lesson abt it one day! they were talking about it like they would talk about a bake sale!!

is that what u call happy??

but then again. maybe ur experience is totally different. I hope it is. some are traumatized and some are edified by the same thing

  • @kittywaymo its very true.

  • @kittywaymo you sound very happy. and well adjusted.

  • @kittywaymo

Excuse me. I was NOT happy as a mormon. I had my mom telling me what to do and how to think, and I was an outcast for not thinking the way they did. I naturally challenged it. I don't believe it, and I never will. I'm currently looking into taking my name from the church. And props to those who can have the courage to walk away from the church who says to do so, is to walk into "Spirit prison"

  • stupid i bet you arent mormon

  • beach picture was nice
