Do you tend to make a few pattens and piece together into a song (can you mess with the sounds as the song plays in song mode as you can in patten mode btw?) or do you just turn the dial and switch between your pattens as you go along and manipulate the sounds as you go? just trying to get a feel for the thing- i know using it will bring answers too but still...

@FuturedaveyP The sounds are all created through manipulating the in built synthesis parts. There is no way of uploading sounds as such on the EMX but you can create them and store them to an SD card.

@tikiandthemartyr yeah i realise that now. i got the SX at the same time as the MX. i know you can sample on the SX but i feel like its a bit limited with only two synth parts- one being used for bass and then only one for the synth melody line. i suppose having MX (which has 5 synth parts) kind of expands my set up

@FuturedaveyP Ideally both together is a perfect set up. :) wish i had both MX and SX. I got the MX and works great for creating awesome synths and melodies but no sampling abilities :(
