I think lots of people fail to undersand the difference between a boat and a car. Boats being on water and narrowboats being quite heavy means they just carry on going for a bit when you try and turn.

Lots of these holidaygoers need better instruction, they slammed into my friends liveaboard at quite a speed.

Sure sometimes things go wrong, but look at the size of the basin, and a short easy to manouvre modern boat and the guy at the helm is just relaxed as can be, noob.
