@KkF00 You should have 2 partitions on your hard disk, one for xp, one for ubuntu. That way every time you start your computer it will ask you which OS you want to use.
If you want to remove Ubuntu, you can simply go on the XP partition en choose "Format" other partition
have you some kind of problems with your wireless card? is that a dell/broadcom or an intel pro wireless? can you tell me the drivers you are using? i'm going to buy a vostro 1000 and i want to run linux on it (probably debian or gentoo) i have some problems now on my hp compaq nx7300 with a broadcom wireless card.. it works but i have to disable eth0 and some times i have to put my laptop in the air for recive.. i think it's a driver issue 'couse when i had windows it was all ok :)
I tried 8.10, and I hate KDE 4.2.1..it's such a dog. How'd you get your Compiz to work? if I enabled everything you have enabled, it'd make X unusable.
Sweet, I've been trying to figure out how to get Linux to run on my Vostro 1000. Is there a website anywhere that explains what I need to do to make it work?

If i have XP, and wanted to try out linux, do i just download ubuntu and install it?
If i dont like it, how do i remove it?
And, can it be XP on 1 username and ubuntu on another?
