@NiamhD200 1/2 butter 1/2 copha (vegetable shortening) there are some great tutorials on youtube to fin out :)

@NiamhD200 u get whats called a double sponge cakes... (theres 2 layers in a pack)... there are 2 kinds.. the circle and the rectangle shapes.. you need 1 circle.. and 2 rectangles.

I love cows and when I saw this I fell in love with the cake. it's so adorable. I'm starting to decorate cake and I should try doing this one. But one question though, where those wooden thingies that you used to secure the body of the cake, dowels or regular wooden skewers (you know like for BBQ).

yeah just plain BBQ skewers.... u can also use straws but the skewers make less damage to the cake.
