the animatronic doesn't move anymore :( but no you are not going upside down, the g-force's of the escalating speed going backwards on the track is what gives you that feeling of "going upside down". but let me reassure you, you don't.

@splanter010 Nope. It goes backwards of course, but it does not go upside down. The only one I know of going upside down is Rock 'n' roller coaster. Enjoy your trip!!

@ineedajob555 Disney adds story to their rides. Unlike Busch Gardens or Six Flags, they don't just put up a coaster and paint it. They do pretty much everything they can do to put the guests into the story. It's part of what makes Disney so well known and better than typical amusement parks.

@AutumnDiesx3 no it doesn't go upside down. As a 12 y o you should be able to handle all of them. They're all awesome, though if you don't like the dark, don't do space mountain, and if you don't like cramped/dark spaces, don't do the simulators like mission:space. But you'd be missing out on so much fun if you didn't! Just think... how often are you there..?!

Not that Disney needs to add anything to draw more attention to this ride, but if they rigged it so that the a yeti jumped up from behind the broken track (1:54) right before you "derailed" and went backwards, this ride would go from awesome to the absolute most intense ride ever!! Prbly no way theyll do that though, just cranking up the sound fx at that part would make it more intense. It just seems like there's something missing there, a transition from the "scenic ride" to "thrilling ride"

@febuary251998 I was there abt 2 weeks ago. But he hasnt been working for a loooong time. I cant remember whens the last time I saw it working. But I think its been broke since 2007 or 2008. I may be wrong, but Ive gone a lot and the last time I remember seeing it functioning fully was back in 2006 when it opened.

Yea, they need to do something abt that. I heard its not that the thing doesnt work, but just that they underestimated the power and its been messing up the support system so they were forced to stop him from moving. Either way, it needs to be fixed.

My sister and I rode this 16 times throughout our vacation! We waited in line only once, and didn't get to ride that time due to technical difficulties, but they gave us all fastpasses for when the ride was fixed. We waited through fastpass 2 times, and the rest was the beloved single riders line, which generally had no wait time. It was awesome! We discovered that the funnest place to ride is the back. The front is fun, too, but the back is by far the best!

This was a really fun ride but it goes through it too fast. You go up the hill then down and through a different tunnel and then you see the yeti. Sure that is fine and good but after you see him, the ride doesn't conclude. It just ends after that. All in all it is a really fun and exciting ride but I was a bit disappointed in the way that it just ended.
