no, i think rmenga is right you have to either have it wired into your stereo or if you have an aux. plug (mp3 plug) on your stereo that would work as well.

I was referring to what 4861933 said. Just using it in your car. Not hooking it up to the stereo. Misunderstanding. Yeah to hook it up to your stereo you'd need some kind of wire from the aux to the stereo.

Yes. The StreetPilot c580 has an audio-out stereo 1/8-inch port on the back of it. If your car stereo has an AUX port that will accept 1/8-inch (a headphone jack), you can plug it in and you're good to go.
