I go to Beechwood so i was definatley supporting SK when they went to state but i definatley have a lot of respect for Trinity. For one , i think they have a lot of class and played a fair game. Two , they play the best of best every season and still manage to get to state. Three , alot of schools recruit , not just trinity or catholic schools . I think it was amazing that sk made it to state , but dont knock trinity just because they have a GREAT team!

I honestly don't have a lot of respect for Trinity coaches and players. I think they showed a lack of class at state because they didn't take a knee when Chad Lawrence was injured. I think it was also classless that they ran the score up so much in the first half. Their coach actually called timeouts so he could conserve time and score a touchdown just before the end of the first half. I'm running out of room, so I'll post another reply.

As far as recruiting goes, they recruit from multiple states, just like many other well known private schools like St. Xavier. This is a prime example of why private schools should play in their own league instead of having unfair advantages over public schools. I will say that Trinity has a very talented team, but most of them acted like classless jerks on the football field.

Trinity gets the majority, 90%, of its players from the CSAA. The players have been playing together/against each other since 5th grade.

The recruitment is unfair because they are allowed to recruit from bigger areas than public schools and break the rules any way by recruiting out of state. As for the last sentence, taking a knee for an injured player shows respect. They didn't show any respect because they didn't take a knee.

It's not about kids coming to that school from out of state, it's private schools getting a bigger area draw of kids they're allowed to talk to than public schools, and breaking rules by talking to kids from other states.

We were happy we got there. We didn't care if we won or lost. Getting there for a team that was a 4th seat going into the playoffs and beating the 1 seat in their district. The trip is what brought us together, not recruiting out of state or from other schools... from joining together from what we are given.
