ibought one in London.Riding home a coach overtook me on a sharp left into a roundabout. The coach trapped the handlebar and glove towards the coach and it dragged all the way round the curve (right) and then left.Stopping before I was hurt (protected by the sticky out engine).I left two huge long dents in his side. Cost of new brake lever. One Pound fifty.Nice. Watch out for long vehicles turning and overtaking.
Don't know about the UK but in the USA Urals have a set top speed of 55 Miles per Hour to stop emissions. If you set the carberator up more from the factory setting which can only be done in states that dont have emission laws but if you can you can easily get to 70 and stay there.
@MrSinkplunger -- LoL. I took a lefter in my outfit Ural 750 and took the street corner not too fast , and the chair came up half way to meet me "PeW" or words to that effect. Afterwards I kept a 5 gallon container of water in the sidecar boot, it did the trick.
Nice machine, but murder on a long journey especially with my arthritis.
Looks like fun! I'm glad your shop didn't focus on the side car tip that so many other videos focus on. Ya, it's fun to do but that's not ALL this rig does. Nice to see how this bike moves on a regular ride.
Beautiful...I love that bike. I just picked up a new Honda VTX...then discovered URAL on the net...waaaaaa waaaaaaa
For tooling around, I think it would be superb. I do appreciate the VTX because I have to ride on the highway frequently, as I live in NJ, but my daughter lives in Philadelphia. I have to hit speeds upwards of 120 KmH.
One day I vow to have both!!
By the way FANTASTIC vid mate!! cheers & safe riding!
PS:How do you keep the trouble from insisting on riding the sidecar??

Great Video! I really want one for the winter! (no cage licence) The 2WD one would be ace! shame they're illegal over here in england.

Hi PalmtreeStoned, Thanks for looking at the video. Really glad you liked it. Urals are not fast, but they make up for it with fun.

@PalmTreeStoned Ural average is 749 cc

I have not had a car for 5 years so the Ural gets used for everything and is used every day. It has broken down once in that time, I got a flat tyre.

the uk is the perfect place for this kind of motorcycle. I saw one here in Illinois 4-5 years ago.
