first level you do is much easier to complete with captain v, but every1 chooses his own strategy :)

@extreemru nuuuuuu I don't like captain V (in this game anyway). I only use him if I get a significant benefit (ie levels 18/19 and a few others).

I can't stand how slow he moves, and that my precious run button (which is normally always held down) is the trigger to flip :P

On the other hand, I can understand how people would like him :)

given exploits like switching characters/quitting out of the level it would be interesting to have super versions of the iron man achievements - super meat boy or a resprite only, levels must be sequential, no changing characters/exiting at all

Just thought, switching characters doesn't seem to count as a death and it restarts the level. Couldn't you just change character if you're about to die...and force a retry that way??

@peacewillcomesoon to be perfectly honest, yeh, you can do that. I've used that trick before when trying to minimize deaths on my 2nd playthrough of the game ^_^;;

I know there are people on the forums who say they've used it for the iron boy achievements, but I think that's dodgey :/

FRAPS seems to dislike my computer (but thankfully not during an actual level this time!!! :D), so i restarted the recording and it ran fine after that".

@Nap712 did you see the lag coming out of level 20? :( game is unplayable without pausing the recording for a good amount of time n restarting >_< that's the reason why I get the achievement before recording these runs afterwards, coz FRAPS can stuff up my game mid-level and ruin everything :'(

@adam0zero to be perfectly honest, i have no clue. I'll take a guess and say around 10-12k deaths though?

Specs are HD5850 gfx card, i5-760 psu, P55A-UD4P mobo

Haven't reformatted my main HDD in about 5 years though.... heh ^_^;;
